Better trade for a 1RW I’d go Vatrano for Kakko , Jones and 2nd ( becomes 1st if they win the Cup) maybe throw in Goodrow
Without a first line right wing nothing we do matters.
Is it just me or does feel like a rerun of last season and the one before that? That said I do give props to Drury. He keeps getting good talent for 3ft of string and some butt lint.
I don't have a problem with this move. Drury improved the team without giving up a 1st, a prospect of note, or either of the Golden Goose Eggs (Kakko & Lafreniere).
Was also a huge fan of that 3rd line reminded me of brassard zucc n puliot

Cuylle-Wennberg-Kakko should be the 3rd line, Vesey-JB-Goodrow 4th line.
That’s 2 gritty lines that can matchup against any line they’re up against.
Obviously they have to get a RW to play with the MZ line. I’d like Vatrano but I’ll take Zucker or Duclair. All shoot first guys that play north/south with speed.
Edstrom would be the 13th forward.
Wennberg had 2 goals in 75 games! Fella averages 9 goals per season. And no, he's not a "great setup guy" nor is he is a "solid faceoff guy." All even number PIMs so not gonna mix it up when necessary. NYR paid the same price for this stiff as Vegas did for 20-plus goal scorer, Anthony Mantha.
As for Vatrano, I was happy he was acquired in '22 and was an immediate impact player for them. But is he any better than Mantha? Not statistically, offensively or defensively. Beeker wanted a No. 1 pick and Kaapo Kakko for Henrique/Vatrano. Thank goodness Drury said no.
Guentzel went to the hurricanes about 10 minutes ago for 2 lousy players that are going back to Pittsburg, Drury is slow on the trade once again way to go Chris, damn knucklehead.
A rumor was thrown out ZUCCI back to the Rangers and a Zibanejad reunion. MN is dead for 2 years. Waive the NMC. Helluva rental. Rumor was Zucci a 2nd 4th. For Perrault and Kakko
Trading Kappo Kacko for Guentzal would be a disaster. He is injured now and no guarantee when he comes back. You also leave a hole on 3rd line RW. Then Guentzal is a pending UFA. If he walks, we need TWO RW next year. We’re better off looking elsewhere and keeping our organization long term.
Drury sucks. Everyone that will be a tough match up for us got miles better. We added Wennberg lmao. Can't wait to see him panic and trade the 1st and kakko for frank garbage vatrano. We are a 1st or 2nd round exit. Easy. Get a defenseman, Trouba is a dumpster fire and should be on the 3rd pair at best. Lindgren sucks too.
