  1. What picks? The shelf is empty, they blew their beans last year.
The guys in the room have the talent, they are missing the courage and heart to compete in the playoffs. What I would do for a Gilmour/ Clark style player. I just hope the defence gets very violent and sadistic, don’t care if we lose as long as we take out a couple of players on our way. I’m done with this style of hockey, it’s obviously for losers.

  2. Almost 30k views for a guy nobody had heard of. You gotta love having access to this content as a hardcore Leafs fan. I definitely want to hear about this for some reason 🤣

  3. Amazing that Adam & then Steve mispronounce Dewar's surname. It's Scottish & it's pronounced just like the whiskey…..Dew-ar, not De-WAR. Many Wild fans seem sorry to see 'Dewey 2' go & claim he's an excellent skater, physical, tenacious, plays solid D & is very good on the PK. Anyone who gets Nylander off the PK is welcome in my world. In the small sample size I've seen he is a guy most Leafs fans will love. He, Boosh & Edmunson make the Leafs harder to play against, so decent work by Tree despite no 'homerun' aquisition.

  4. They got lots of grit Steve because they need grit for the playoffs. Colton has a bad back buddy.

  5. They are better then last year as they have a very gritty team and will do better in the playoffs. Mark my words Steve as I’m staying they play Colorado for the cup 😎

  6. Is was rumored that there was other player in leafs and wild trade that was RD Brook Faber or RD Zach Bogosian but Bogosian want to stay with wild and the leafs didn't have a 2nd round in 2024 or 2025 and a 5th in 2024 which the leafs have and would gone to wild but it would have cost leafs 1st in 2024 but leafs didn't want to do that so leafs only got Conner Dewar

  7. Underwhelming trade deadline for sure, like the Leafs themselves especially in the playoffs, so many winnable series over the years and only one series win in 8 attempts. Underwhelming with a capital “U” 😂

  8. Hope this is the end of Betterhelp

You guys need to do a bit more deep diving, on literally everything in the real world, but Betterhelp for sure

  9. From the moves they made seems like they will be getting more edge and physicality while also picking up good Penalty Killers, adding PKers feel like a message sender to me but idk…

  10. The question I ask is, what did people think the Leafs were going to do?

We are a lot tougher, and as someone said here, when the rules change in a few weeks, the low-budget players we got will shine.

We needed 'snot', and two big parts of that was signing Bert and Domi. I'm quite sure we won't get pushed around this play-offs.

  11. yeah, we need to let go of the Leafs winning the cup this year. who knows maybe they'll play better cuz they've had less disruption due to the trade deadline and because really, nobody expects much from them. i mean, even if Vegas wasn't already a rung or two higher, did you see what they got? Toronto has so few assets, Tre couldn't just waste them. i think he did the right thing, bring in a bit of reinforcement and let the big guys really and fully step up in the playoffs. if they don't, it's time to send one or two elsewhere. Toronto also needs some appropriately timed injuries while having assets to trade, then maybe they too can genuinely compete with the big boys.

  12. Kyle left us in a tough spot. You can't get a sexy name when you have nothing. The problem is the big boys gotta play lights out playoff time. That's it. Bertuzzi and Domi are the sexy names that were picked up last year. If they don't do it this year Marner is traded. They have to play well to keep Marner.

  13. Dude remember when the Leafs used to have a really good GM, then they let him walk because they thought he didn't want to be their GM anymore (even though he directly said he did), so then they were stuck taking whatever random guy happened to not currently have a contract?

  14. It was kind of refreshing to not have the leafs spend a fortune for the big sexy name this year,

Edmunson did seem like a bit of a consolation prize, after Walker went to Col.

But this whole season has been recovering from Dubas! The way he managed the cap, the roster, the lack of him in the organization, the lack of prospects and picks he left us with when he departed.

Brad Treliving had to come in asses the pieces he had
    – Tie up the loose ends on Matthews and Nylanders contracts
    – Fill glaring wholes in the roster
    – and make the team his own instead of just being a manager of Dubas's old roster.

Whether he's done a good job at that or not is deffinatly up for debate but we had to expect a year of growing pains.

My biggest complaint is that he waited untill the trade deadline to make any moves, and didn't make a genuine hockey trade,
aka Player for Player with the hope they're better fits on their new teams for more than the last 20 games of the season

  15. What are you doing? Short answer: Spending most of your team's cap on four guys. Welcome to Edmonton Oilers hell.

We have a pool going for who will be the best player of all time that will never have a cup: McDavid or Matthews.

    #TooCostlyToWin

  16. Instead of this Dewar they could of used that pick to get Dumba? He went for nothing….I don't under…..BRADDDD!!!!!!!
