I was all aboard on trading Vatrano, but he could end up keeping him and this would still be one of the best Trade deadlines the ducks have had in years. A decent return on Frankie would just be icing on the cake

Who’s he replacing though? He’s not cracking the top4 for us with Mintyukov back now. I can’t imagine they’d send Vaakanainen down through waivers, so does that mean he’s just a health scratch / competing with Lindstrom/Vaak for the 3rd pairing, or riding the bus as a 7th/backup for injury situations?
Honestly love how angry a lot of leafs fans are over on their subreddit. Don’t even care about the material reality of this trade.
These last two players are on expiring contracts, so I assume Gulls and Ducks need bodies. Feel a bit sorry for the guy from the Avs because they have a good shot at the Cup.
