Here’s a link to all of 2024 UFA’s. Doubt everyones hitting free agency but there’s a lot that won’t be able to be resigned. Can lead to an interesting draft for us as well as free agency

One guy that really intrigues me is Pavel Francouz. He has been really solid as a backup goaltender for the Avs. Now who knows what next year will bring after missing an entire season but I think he would pair well with Lyon and could really help us.
After signing our RFAs to decent contracts, if we gave Kane a 1 year 5m extension, we would be broke. We can’t afford to make a big splash unless we make some serious cap shedding in the offseason
Man Sam Reinhart. How is he not extended? That would be the star we need.
Wouldn’t be against bringing back Bertuzzi on a reasonable deal. You know there’s a fit there already and due to his play he should be significantly cheaper than last year
Yall are fucking hilarious. I was getting railroaded in here for bitching about how long the copp and Chairot contracts are. “They’re decent players.” “We have cap room.” I specifically said they will suck when we have to extend Raymond/seider. Now you goofballs are like “we can’t afford to sign anyone.” Chairot is playing much better this year, but his contract is still too long. Copp is nowhere near worth it. Yzerman is great, but some of yall live in this fandom of he can do no wrong and it’s weird.
I honestly think the only reason we signed the FAs we did last year is because Illitch wanted a playoff berth, and Steve did his best to meet his expectations. This team then produced the best hockey we’ve seen in seven seasons. Here comes the owner, to put a fuckin garbage patch on their flawless sweater. A sweater they all worked their asses off to wear.
I’m not blaming all of it on the patch; but we had a fucking Cinderella story turned into the meme of the season in one corporate deal right before the trade deadline.
Ghost and Perron are gone. Perron will be missed.
