Andrew how excited are you to get a fresh start in a different organization I’m pumped uh especially coming in an organization like this uh you’ve only heard good things about a place like this from all the way to the top to the guys and you know that’s what’s most

Exciting for me and um you know hitting a little reset here obviously yesterday was pretty crazy in a whirlwind of a day but no I couldn’t be more excited to coming to A Team like the Bruins original six and you know it’s just special how difficult was this season

With being out of the lineup a lot yeah know there was some uh tough days a lot of adversity um but I think you know looking back at it now and obviously being where I am today uh you can only look back at it you know make a positive

Out of it helping you grow as a you know person as a hockey player and um I think for me it just you know helped me understand a lot of things in terms of what I got to do on a nightly basis and uh that’s what I’m most excited about

For fans that don’t uh see you on a nightly basis how would you describe your game to them uh I think uh big body defenseman uh like to play physical um you know work hard in the corners battle you know win those and uh you know use

My feet and you know move the puck up the ice um defending has always been you know one of my stronger suits as a player and that’s something I’ve taken pride in you know since coming to the NHL level is you know being a really good defenseman you hoping to get traded

Just get get a fresh start and and and kind of reset a little bit um I mean I think with how the year had gone you know the biggest thing for me is I wanted uh I just wanted to play hockey um you know obviously the past two years

I’ve played pretty much every game and um you know not that you get comfortable but you know you get in a routine of doing that so obviously with how the year went you just wanted to play hockey and then obviously finding out the news yesterday that I was coming to a place

Like Boston and being able to compete for the playoffs you know that’s I think all you can ask for as a player and something I haven’t had yet so I’m super thrilled about that well in describing your game you sound like you’re a match for Bruins fans how much you looking

Forward to playing in front of them no I can’t wait i’ growing up uh you’ve always heard about Boston Sports and you know the pride that this city has for their sports teams and watching Patriots dynasties or you know Bruins winning the cup whatever it could be it’s second and

N in terms of the fans here so I’m super excited did you know anyone here before uh I knew uh Trent Frederick and uh Jeremy Swan um played with them you know with USA at the world junior so knew them a little bit and then just uh Sean

Car was here and he was me and Columbus so a lot of mutuals through him and a couple of the guys on the Bruins called me yesterday and um chatted for a little bit so it was nice getting welcome by them have you talked to Sean after the

Trade yeah did he tell you what to expect or give you any tips I’ve heard about Boston for the past three years from Sean so no but he he told me everything’s an unbelievable spot the organization speaks for itself with the amount of playoff runs that this you know place

Has gone through in the past years and um you know High bones said that the guys in the room are unbelievable and you know that’s what I’m most excited about
