Linus Ullmark “VERY HAPPY” to Not be Traded by Bruins | Bruins Postgame Interview

We always have the conversation me way after every win we have or if there’s a loss like there’s no easy games in this league there’s got to be a 60 Minute game and you can’t take anything for granted so it was nice to finally get one after a months hard

Work L any comment on the reports that you utilized your not trade class I’m just very happy to be here know this this is the team that I want to be in I’m very fortunate to be a part of this group and you know ever since day one I

Loved it here so I’m I’m very happy with uh with where I am right now you glad the trade deadline is over and that put all that been right no thank God yes no it it’s tough I mean um you try to act tough beforehand you know you don’t want

To show anything you want to show any emotions kind of like in a um playoff situation as well but it is tough on players and this is the first time when I had to go through and actually being rumored about I always felt safe you know at different but then

Once it actually starts picking up more and more and more you have have uh you hear those outside noises it takes a toll on you and then there’s this emotional part of it and then you start thinking about your family and then there’s all these questions that you

Just don’t have any answers to so yes I am very happy that it’s over with and I’m very glad and happy to be here did you talk to anyone within the room who has gone through that uh trade deadline experience before like windol or any other guys that I should have I mean

Lindy got traded here so he should probably be the best guy to talk to but I didn’t but I had a good conversation with uh with Bergie uh the other day as well so that really helped me as well and uh you know um cmch reached out to

Me yesterday as well with a very thought out text that really hit home and you know this kind of just shows what kind of a group and what kind of people there is in this team so uh I was very happy um and emotional when he after I read it

Did it lead to like a more relaxing game today for you no no no I don’t see the sh clock but it was a lot of stuff to do today how about the Ovation from the fans at the end with the hug and then the number one star

Well like I said there’s no easy games but there’s going to be the some games you’re going to take with you a little bit longer obviously and going to keep it a little bit in the memory bank and you can pull it out from time to time so

Um same thing there you know I got emotional as well when sway said all these nice words to me and I would have done the same for him if he if he was in my shoes and you know it’s it’s tough to talk about but like I said I’m just so

Gosh darn happy does it add any motivation now for the rest of the year to just kind of to to prove to prove what you are and and ear anything or or is it or is it not matter I think I proved what kind of a golender I can be last year definitely

And out a boy no don’t worries um so with that in mind there’s there’s been some ups and downs obviously during the season and during this time of period as well I don’t think that I’ve personally played bad with all the outside noise which I’ve been very proud of myself to

Keep battling through and Performing yeah we didn’t have the balances on the road trip and sort of that sort of thing but at the end of the day it’s going to come back we always say that lady Lu is going to be on your side

BOSTON — Linus Ullmark made 38 shots in a 5-1 win over the Penguins Saturday afternoon at TD Garden.

Ullmark wasn’t sure he would even still be a Bruin as his name was thrown around ahead of Friday’s NHL trade deadline. Ullmark was not traded and says he’s relieved to still be in Boston.

“Oh, thank God, yes,” he said. “It’s tough. I mean, you try to act tough beforehand. You don’t want to show any emotion. It’s kind of like in a playoff situation. But it is tough on players, and this is the first time I had to go through actually being rumored about. I’ve always felt safe. But then once it actually starts picking up more and more and more, you hear those outside noises, it takes a toll on you and then there’s this emotional part of it and then you start thinking about your family and then there’s all these questions that you don’t have any answers to. So yes, I am very happy that it’s over with and I’m very glad and happy to be here.”

  1. Bruins have the best goalie duo in the NHL and it'll be a shame to break them up in the summer. Swayman will get his new deal and with Ullmark earning $5 million, Boston may have close to an unfeasible $9 million tied up in both. That's too much.

  2. They should just continue on with the rotation into the playoffs. Its risky but I'd do it. Bruins got something special with this tandem. Both are Vezina capable goalies. Its nuts how Rask retires and immediately the Bruins already have 2 great goalies while some teams go years (Leafs) just hoping for 1.
