  1. When I was in 6th grade my mom let me take the second to last day of school off. she wrote me a note that I could not come to school because of Yellow Fever. My teacher thought it was quite funny.

  2. Everyone forgets that Stone being on LTIR in 2021-2022 didn’t work out well as Vegas missed the playoffs that year. Nobody mentions that part (though the vid here did mention this). And the team Vegas iced last year during the cup run was cap compliant. And I’m a Kings fan.

  3. Mark Stones yearly LTIR update
    3/2024 spleen
    1/2023 back
    2/2022 upper body
    12/2021 undisclosed
    2/2020 lower body
    3/2019 leg
    1/2018 knee and so on……

  4. The ltir system needs an over haul. You should be able to do what Vegas is doing, but you should have to ice a team under the salary cap in the play offs.

  5. it hurts teams that have Never won the cup or even had 2 much playoff success!! The Jets,Canucks, Sabres, colombus etc.

  6. Proud to root for THE MOST HATED team in the NHL – the VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS!

Feel free to change this in the next CBA – McCrimmon will find the next rule to take advantage of (assuming he’s still around).

  7. In 2022 Mark Stone came back for the remaining 9 games of the season presumably because they were fighting for a playoff spot.

  8. The Canuks were allowed to structure Luongo's contract the way they did, but the league still stepped in to punish them. Yet they turn a blind eye to this blatant loophole.

  9. So, do you honestly think ANY doctor would risk their insurance by saying a player is so healthy they NEED to play? Imagine the liability.

  10. The Owners agreed on this, if you want this to change. You have to convince the owners first, every GM has the same rules to follow. The Blackhawks did it, the Lighting did it, Vegas did it. It's not cheating if it is allowed.

  11. It's a thing that is done now. My team even lost the cup to a team doing it. I really don't see high ups in the league doing anything about it when it's been happening for 10+ years now. Unfortunately. Not gonna hate on Vegas for doing it

  12. Chicago did it before Tampa, Tampa raised the alarm about it but no one cared because it was Chicago. Tampa says "okay fine we'll play these games" and people up in arms, now Vegas doing same. Man if only people did something back in the year Chicago did it 🤔 the timeline would look so different

  13. In the 2022 season we're they missed the playoffs. Stone was activated with 9 games left in the regular season.

  14. You can easily fix this problem, make the trade deadline like halfway through the season, and not near the end of the season.
You're not gareenteed to make a playoff without your best player missing 40 games.

  15. Kane for Chicago, and it worked. Kucherov for Tampa, and it worked. Stone for Vegas last season, and it worked. I'm seeing a pattern here for teams doing this and winning the Cup.
