The reason they wanted to trade Ullmark is because he makes 5m. Swayman is due a massive pay raise and having 11-13m locked into goaltending isnt ideal. I still think he gets moved in the off-season.

Shannon, you shouldn't get discouraged when people complain about the rankings. It's the internet. People just say whatever comes to their mind. Don't take it too seriously. Some people just like to argue.

In all honestly the lower you put the Stars on the Powerrankings the more games they seem to win. So hell, put them at rank 32 and they'll probably won't lose another game this season and win the Cup.

Why would a direct hit to the head be called interference embellishment because you stood up right away after taking the head shot? I am also baffled… actually, to be honest, I was outraged like Torts. Next time I hope I am only baffled.
If people don't like your power rankings, they can do their own at put their favourite teams at the top all season long.
I won't watch them, but they can do it.
"I'm not in an airport…" Loved it. I also get a laugh out of people raging over power rankings. The same way I find amusing the fact that some folks get attached to the tp roll being over (or under). Don't sweat the petty sh1t.
sucks to hear about O'Connor, always really respected the way he plays. Hope he recovers and turns out to be ok. Hip injuries are always a tough one to come back from, I know Seguin took a good two years to fully heal and even now he isn't the same guy physically.
I know you always emphasize that youre "The Hockey Guy" and not "The Hockey Expert", but you're almost certainly the only person on the planet that watches (at least part of) every single NHL game that gets played. Your power rankings are the only ones I'm interested in following, exactly because I know you've watched the games. Keep doing them exactly like you are!

THG has some of the most balanced takes on Power Rankings- if you don’t like it create your own. Most of the haters only watch their own team and they aren’t nearly as knowledgeable as Shannon who watches a LOT of hockey.

Do not get discouraged. You have a very good view of the NHL. It is the reason you have members and subscribers. Keep it up.

I have been watching your videos and subbed before you had 3000 subscribers. During that time, I have sustained several catastrophic injuries, and two strokes. Ended up homeless in Northern Ontario, until the beginning of last month. Your videos have helped me through some very dark times, Shannon. I have very much enjoyed witnessing your family and channel grow exponentially since you were still, "in the closet". As a lifelong fan of the Canucks, Les Canadiens and hockey in general, (I am five years your elder), I may not always agree on your takes, but greatly respect the amount of work and energy you put into your vids. I think the B’s having two great goalies is nice for regular season, but i don’t think a team who’s identity is built around goaltending has a chance to go to deep in the playoffs. Ullmark is a big cap hit, and Swayman is gonna get signed for biggish money…..too much money caught up in goalies, and B’s need size, toughness, centers and some D. We all now how the super goalie tandem worked out in the playoffs last year.

It's okay, Shannon. You don't have to explain your power rankings anymore than what you already have. Honestly, you've explained it time and time again, but people don't get it. If it offends people so much, don't watch them. I've always enjoyed your power rankings and even if I don't agree sometimes, it's okay. Power rankings are subjective by nature so you're never going to make everyone happy. Keep up the great work!

Honestly it baffles me why anyone should have a problem with the power rankings when first of all it’s entirely your opinion and secondly most people only watch one team which means in truth there’s no way they can accurately say that their team is playing better then the other team if they don’t watch the other team.
The fact that they suspended him instead – and the fact that neither official will be disciplined tells you everything you need to know. And I despise Tortorella…

i wouldn't be surprised if there is a bit of history between Wes Mccauley (ref) and Tortorella as well – seemed like it was almost personal slightly
Torts definitely deserves a suspension for abuse of officials. The organization backing him shows disrespect for the game. There’s no excuse for his behavior.

Some referees impact the flow and outcome of games too often. If you are an outlier in how you call games, you should go.
