#**🌈NUMBER OF DESTINY🌈: *1.5*!**
#**LET ME EXPLAIN**:
The **🌈NUMBER OF DESTINY🌈** is derived by taking the forecasted safe playoff cutoff point, and figuring out how many games we have to win to beat it. Right now, we need to win 🌈**UNDER 2 GAMES**🌈 to be able to fully relax in the most promising post season of all time. That’s in the next 16 games. Lol NHL ez mode with offsides off.
#**CREATIVE WRITING ASSIGNMENT**:
One day Fin asked me if I had ever been in love. He said it like this: “*[wildly gesticulating hands]* HRNNKKKKKK *[blowhole noises]* *[furiously bite rival mascot doll]*”. It made me think about how I have never properly *let my heart open back up* to the Canucks after so many years of them *overpromising* and *underdelivering*. I felt like T-Pain in **”T-Pain-Bartender.mp3″** where, while he has an interest in the bartender and winking at her (she wink back), he never actually declares his feelings for her — other than stating attraction and mutual respect. T-Pain saved those feelings to be “N Luv (Wit a Stripper)”. A choice I respect.
T-Pain had a conscious decision to love the bartender from a distance, much how many of us have loved *the idea of the Canucks* but not *the actual team* in the current form. We like the potential, serving us flashes of goals and success like a bartender serves drinks from behind the bar, but we know that Nightclub Worker (Jim Benning, who despite his faults is hella cute) is never truly going to make us happy. We require an all encompassing, 20 man roster of pure **goal scoring stripper love** where Tocchet got the lines poppin, they rollin, they rollin.
Do you like the current Canucks, or do you *love* them?
How will you like them if they win 1.5 games in the remaining 16 games?
🎺**TOOT TOOT**🎺.
#RECORD AND TRENDS:
*Current record:* **42-17-7**
*Current division place (by points %):* **1st Pacific** (Same as last update)
*Current league place (by points %):* **3rd NHL** (Formerly 4th in last update)
*Current end of year pace:* **113 Points** (Oh no we were 109 last update)
*Last 10:* **5-4-1** (Oh damn we were 4-5-1 last update)
What kind of pace do we need to make playoffs?: **We need to play like a 15 point team** <— still lol ez
Right now the playoffs safety cutoff is predicted to be around: **94 points**
To reach that we would need a record of: **1-14-1 in the remaining 16 games**
#PROFESSIONAL PREDICTIONS:
[Athletic](https://theathletic.com/) finishing points/playoff chances [PAYWALL]: **100%** (111 pts)
[Moneypuck](http://moneypuck.com/predictions.htm) playoff chances: **100%** (112.2 pts)
[HockeyViz](https://hockeyviz.com/) finishing points/playoff chances: **99.999%** (108 pts)

Well this is promising since we’re going 32-0-0 to end the season
I think the Kraken losing last night basically sealed the playoff picture. At their current p% paces, Minnesota and Seattle both project to be around 87/88 points. Dom has them projected at 90 and 89 points, respectively, based on his model.
The Canucks have 91 points and 36 RW. Neither the Wild nor the Kraken would be able to catch up in the RW tiebreaker at 90 points.
Why don’t all the other teams in the NHL just win? Are they stupid?

LOL
I always say that most every team wins 30, loses 30, and it’s the last 22 games that determine how you look going into the playoffs. If you get to those 30 wins/losses then every subsequent win/loss just chews into those last 22 games.
Well, we may not even hit 30 losses at this rate, think we can land 11 wins out of 16?
I appreciate these posts!
Not a annoying title at all
What’s with all the rainbows?
In order to lose our playoff spot we would need to be passed by a team currently not in the playoff picture, the best recording belonging to a team not in the playoffs currently is Minnesota, which are at a .538 pts%. If they continue the rest of the season with this record, they will finish with roughly 88 points. We are at 91.
Effectively, we have already guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.
So a win and a OT loss? I don’t know guys, seems like an uphill battle
Appreciate the post – especially when somehow the “creative writing” part is my favourite part
4 points on the oilers even if they win all 3 games in hand
real question is, do we try and push for president’s trophy since we’re only like 3 points behind the panthers (+ 1 behind the rangers if they win their game in hand), or just settle for 1st in the west
Quinn Hughes, do we even need him?
This is already one of my favourite all time posts on here
Ideally we get 1st in division 2nd in league.
🎺TOOT TOOT🎺
I’m not used to the lack of skulls around this time. Petition to never bring back the 💀doom counter💀
I’m so fucking excited for the first round! Playoff hockey is back baby and the nucks are the team to beat again!!!
