  1. the avs did offer landy 7m x 5 and "higher than Nuge" for 8 years. Both of those deals could come up a bit, but neither is "insulting."

  2. Landeskog 6yrs 7mil to the island would be elite finally get Barzal an elite winger along with lee

  3. Landeskog is a 6-7 million dollar player. He is no where NEAR 9-10 million. If I am Sakic the absolute MOST I would give him is 8×8 and even that is an overpay. Honestly idk if it's worth it. Landy might be big part of the leadership of this team but he makes some dumb mistakes and I know Sakic can get someone to replace him. At this point whatever happens happens

  4. I’ll take a physical, leader, heart and soul 70-75 point Landy at 9M who is a playoff beast over an overpaid regular season performing Marner/Tavares/Matthews that can’t perform in the playoffs any day of the season. But I’m also a Blues fan and I see the damage he can do on a regular basis every year lol

  5. Is Marner worth a couple of million more than Landeskog. I think Landeskog should be getting 8 mill over 5 years.

  6. Love watching podcasts who talk smack BEFORE they let Lou do his magic. Lou isn't the GM of the year for 2 years in a row for nothing. 19 mil under the cap as of today, could be 25 or so at the end of expansion night. PLENTY of $ to sign RFA's, Czickas AND go for a big fish on UFA day !!! These are no longer your daddy's floor mat Isles.. Get used to it..

  7. I think Landeskog ends up in Seattle. He wants term, and they can offer 8 years. I think 8 years at 7-8m per does it and I think Seattle is ok with that.

He's a first line player, a natural and experienced leader who has already helped build up a team once, and who can help guide/teach young players the ropes.

He's a low drama face-of-the-franchize type of player that Seattle can use to build its brand.

He does not have MacKinnon's production, but he's a dream player for Seattle to pick and a perfect captain for them.

  8. He is unprotected and in one week he will be Unrestricted free agent. Maybe captain in Seattle Kraken. Maybe you not understand captain is the most important player in a team. More teams want him. The best players lift another players in a team. That have not only with points to do. Beacuse Colorado paid to much money to other players in the team they have not space for more players like Landeskog. Colorado have not space for more than 5 million dollars. Beacuse they most sign more players also. If Seattle doesn’t choose Landeskog in Wednesday’s expansion draft, the parties can return to the negotiation table when free agency opens the following Wednesday.

  9. Avs insider AJ Haefele has already reported that Colorado has offered him 7X7 and his camp rejected.

  10. If someone wants to overpay him that’s fine with me. It will suck losing the captain but sakic will find a way to replace him. Hell, even saad would be a good replacement for him.

  11. If price goes to Seattle and Weber is LTIR all season long that’s almost 20 million saved. Drouin is probably done in Montreal. So that’s another 5 million

  12. Lol the leafs with a 9 million dollar player😭😭😭…we have a 11 million dollar player…we have a 10 million dollar player…why not a 9 million dollar player…take JT and we have a deal

  13. My guess is Seattle. Possibly St. Louis if they can get Tarasenko off their books. You guys need to understand that Sakic can't keep everyone when Makar needs a contract and MacKinnon will in 2 years when the Cap won't be going up until the owners recoup their losses from the last 2 seasons. Which is at least 2 more seasons and possibly 4. Both Sakic and Landeskog have known this for a long time. It's the reason Landeskog has been pushing for an extension for a year now and Sakic has refused to do get it done. Who would you choose to be the odd man out? MacKinnon, Makar or Landeskog?

  14. Blues can afford to give him 8 for 6-7. He'd take that to come play on O'Reilly's line. Maybe even 8.5

  15. I think there is a bit of a underpaid player issue with Landeskog.
Landeskog has been a bargain for the Avs on his last contract and if you're underpaid and you feel like you missed out on a lot of money, you often kind of feel like you have to make up for it. But it's just not how it works. Just because a team ahd you on a very cheap contract doesn't mean they will overpay you on the next one, because they can always sign another player who is asking for a fair price

  16. Id say he ends up on the avs. No way they let this guy walk. Hes gonna be the 2022 stanley cup champion!!!!!!!
