Don’t worry guys, my bet is in the off season, he will delete his twitter and Instagram that way he doesn’t have to focus on the noise! He’s gonna focus on himself this summer and come back and win the Vezina next season!!

I understand what he’s saying but this part
> “I’m definitely not feeling threatened or scared,” Merzlikins said. “It’s not just about my future, it’s about everyone’s future. I don’t know who is going to be GM. I haven’t heard any rumors or whatever.
> “I’m expecting there’s going to be big changes. Huge changes, because we can’t keep going like this. There has to be change. We’re in the National Hockey League. This is a professional league. the best players in the world. The organization is, I believe, going to do what’s best, and we’ll see during the summertime.”
I still just think when he makes these comments it comes off like “I am not the problem here, everyone else is”
Whether intentional or not, it’s the “we can’t keep going like this!” when there have been several issues directly linked to his behavior

I keep trying to defend Elvis but he is the worst. Get him off the team.

It’s a shame that the Islanders don’t need a goalie, because Patrick Roy and Lou Lamoriello are probably the only people in the NHL who could get Elvis to STFU and focus on his game.

This is like Roberto Luongo. He wants out but no one will take that contract

I mean, I feel like firing Jarmo was that change. It’s just not going to feel like it until the new GM takes over. I don’t really think Elvis said anything that substantial here

Among the weird and strange things Elvis has said over the years, this one is fine – he’s not wrong and that’s how we all feel and the players, no doubt, feel the same way – they just don’t say it (except Elvis).

Do the changes include not giving up 3 goals on 4 shots against one of the few teams as bad as we are, Elvis?

If he’s saying we can’t keep overpaying a perennially underperforming malcontent at goalie, I couldn’t agree more. Fingers crossed the new GM will find a way to fix it!
