Oh no, we suck again
I wish we knew what scoring was
Isles handing out shutouts like it’s candy on halloween
According to Stubhub, tickets for Saturday’s game are selling fast.
Between the stadium series choke, the blown leads this year, and the utterly pedestrian effort in a game where winning puts them in the driver’s seat, I just don’t think this roster has any killer instinct. A country club mentality which is a far cry from what they were under Trotz, for all his faults.
Iâm so tired of the inconsistencies. No clue how weâre in a playoff spot bc we donât deserve it
I think it’s time for more bag skates.
Fam⌠Iâm not seeing it.
I mean we may (if we are lucky) sneak into the postseason⌠maybe. But there is no way we are making a deep Cup push the way we are. We will in all likelihood be knocked out round one.
We are not built for the playoffs, and constantly running it back with this team is proving it. We need to move forward, not hold still.
Sorry, not sorry.
With games like that against the Sabres and kings, theyâre not going anywhere if they make the playoffs. Would still be nice thoughÂ
All-around embarrassing performance tonight, this team really needs to get its shit together.
Our metric for success over the streak was primarily shots on net. We had dick tonight. Ilyaâs seemingly return to his old self in the first period was for nothing. Letâs figure it out. Again, passing was sloppy, many blown opportunities and turnovers with misplaced passes.
For what itâs worth, Detroit and Philadelphia are also losing. Tampa isnât, but at least theyâre beating the Rangers, and do any of us really expect Tampa to miss the playoffs?
Iâm an Islanders fan til my dying day⌠but Heaven above if it isnât the most frustrating thing.
Guys can we hold off on dooming for just one more game. Jet lag is real
Hope they can keep it together and make the playoffs, but honestly it’s wishful thinking they make it past the first round anyways
WelpâŚ. Fuck.
Bad game that is no doubt going to bring out knee jerk reactions about the sky falling etc etc (some already are in this thread).
Far from ideal, but we also got help tonight from other games so..not worst case scenario, even if it’s far from best case scenario. Sky isn’t falling yet.
Remember how good it will feel when they get rid of at least 2 players at the end of season and Patrick Roy gets a whole season
I’m annoyed to say the least.
The enigma continues …..
