I think Berggren and Czarnik should be taking some of those spots on a more permanent basis, and other rookies, like Edvinnson and others, NEED to be brought up ASAP!!! Come on, Stevie Y! Are you kidding me already? Kane is probably throwing up now knowing how this team is not stepping up. Raymond is doing what he can with the loathsome play of the club. Come on already! This club was working on all 8 cylinders not long ago. They look like a completely different team. Except for a few players, Stevie Y better think twice or more before signing the non-contributors, with the exception of Kane, Raymond, and possibly Debrincat. The rest of those guys need some soul searching. It's even affected Lyon. And when Lyon was playing great, Reiner actually was giivng a playoff performance as well. The club CANNOT rely on Larkin alone. They have to step up dramatically. They played the worst team in the NHL and tj as that result ended up as the Wings being the WORST team in the NHL. BECAUSE THEY NOW ARE. LET'S GET SOME YOUTH UP TO THE CLUB AND SIDELINE THOSE OTHER VETS EXCEPT KANE AND DEBRINCAT AND RAYMOND. NO OTHER TEAM WOULD HAVE THE GUTS TO SIGN THOSE OTHER VETS EVEN AS DOG CATCHER RIGHT NOW. They had ample chances to put on their big boy pants on, and have failed to do so protecting their lead going into a playoff run. They now should sit at home and figure out why it's not working, while the Wings bring up members of their minor league team. I would certainly consider not using a number of those players whether or not the Wings were close to making the playoffs. Scotty (Bowman) would have had half that unit sitting at home right now, while backfilling the roster with Stevie Y's draft picks. The vets, with few exceptions mentioned above, have lost their grip or that so called MOJO. Take the Priority name off their jerseys (it's brought on nothing but bad vibes) and bring up the rookie. The Wings veterans have basically thrown away their chances at being taken seriously in this league. There is little to no time to recover. Wings need to look to their future guys while benching those multimillion $ contracts who couldn't perform even if they were sent down to tje Griffins. Sorry, but you gotta say it the way it is. Give me a pair of skates, I'll stand in front of the opposing net and shove it down their goalie's throat. Where is the forechecking. This is why the Wings club of the 90s and 2000s were so special. They had great puck control, handled the puck a gazillion more times better with possession compared to this team and didn't apologize to bust a few heads in the process with good checks. This team needs to go to remedial training. I feel really sorry for Kane, Debrincat, and Raymond. They don't deserve to play with some of these other guys who have million $ contracts without being worth it. Those guys ought to pay back part of their salaries, because they're the repeat offenders screwing up are taking down everybody else style of playing. Bring up the youth and bench the overpaid vets. I notice that Lyon's positioning is poor. He isn't playing at the top of the crease (the blue paint) he is exposing to much of the net and is constantly dropping down into a butterfly-style where it isn't warranted. We need a new goaltending coach ASAP. It's a bad habit that needs to be coached out of their system.

Again when will people realize that this is a Steve Yzerman problem. He has actively gone out of his way to SIGN Copp, Chiarot, Holl…. trade for Petry, sign mid tier goalies. I don't know why more people are not criticizing him! The roster construction is atrocious, he spent 2nd round picks last year on defenseman that aren't even playing at their current schools.

This team is like Brian said playing like they don't deserve to be in the NHL why pay somebody when they don't even play like they should? It's pretty bad when you can say you see better heart and talent during a Peewee game or from washed up players such as myself. There's absolutely no excuse why this is happening! Also, I am a firm believer that nobody's to blame for abysmal performances such as this then the players themselves and I hate it when it's always brought down on a coach, as they are not the ones that are on the ice playing. But I have seriously seen coaches fired for less then this just saying. It's almost like they're losing on purpose and it's ridiculous. But anyway guys you always make things a little bit better with you're banter lol. And trust me I know the feeling LOL I went through a whole 12 pack of Sam Adams watching the game LoL.
