you guys keep complaining about kakko not scoring enough on 1st line as if Kreider and Mika haven't been absolutely abysmal for almost 2 years now 5v5. they rotate panarin and trocheck on that line and still nothing. kakko plays on any other line but that one and is productive.
Excellent points all around. I think alot of people arenât considering that Wennberg makes the 3rd and 4th lines better. Solid defensive bottom six that can be out there against any line. Edström and Rempe can be the 13th and 14th forwards. Bring in Vatrano without giving up a starter and the Rangers are legit contenders.
Heâs a nice 3rd line forward with a decent shot and no defensive ability.
The mistake wasnât letting Vatrano go; it was letting Buchnevich go for absolute garbage. Vatrano is mediocre at best.
I want a real top line forward, not a band-aid at best. A 30 goal scorer who is -20 is not worth having on your team in any significant role.
Totally down to trade the 1st, but Iâd much rather package a bunch of prospects with them to get an elite RW option like Eberle or Guentzal (or, perhaps, bringing back Buchnevich and correcting the mistake we never should have made.)
Vatrano is not putting the Rangers over the top. Othmann isn't NHL ready. Unless Zibanejad, Trouba and Lindgren wake up, this team isn't going anywhere and Vatrano is just a waste of assets.
Okay brodz was doing well as third center. The line with Kaako and cuylie was doing well. They needed a RW for 1st line. But it will give them depth and if they get Frankie V then itâll be good
Kraken fan here. You guys got a great player. I think he has potential to do more offensively then he showed in Seattle, Wennberg is a good passer and the Kraken lack finishers to take advantage. Great defensive player, great at causing turnovers and the best yet, I think he was the Kraken player who elevated his game the most when the playoffs came around last season.

Anything to boost the 3rd line. Now get a 1st RW so you send kakko down to 3 and really get this lineup rolling

Kakko be fine on rw to line. Let him play for ea stretch of games. No trades this deadline, less we forget Patrick Kane. Experiment last year.

Is there any chance the Rangers might be looking to dump Goodrow now in advance of making a bigger splash at RW than the current cap situation allows?
Iâm thinking specifically about the idea of bringing Buchnevich back (or someone like Buch from Buffalo who is under contract past this year)?
