  1. As a Sharks fan, and what we got in the expansion daft, compared to what VGN got, and then the LTIR BS, makes me lose faith in the NHL.

  2. @Brodie Brazil just wanna say i really appreciate your nhl videos!

it's nice to learn about other folks' viewpoints in different markets, especially non-traditional ones.

i discovered by accident your atlanta expansion video the other day, and there were great points for/against ATL.

as you can appreciate, atlanta is a very controversial topic here in canada lol. personally i would like arizona get sold and relocated to either salt lake or houston.

quebec to be honest won't happen because the nhl doesn't want to go there, plus the market is very economically challenged.

about VGK, many fans here in canada do bellyache about vegas' operating methods lol.

some of vegas tactics may be questionable. i don't like or hate vegas.

rest assured, eventually VGK will have to rebuild. it's the way the salary cap and draft system is designed.

but i really appreciate the american-style ruthlessness in putting a stanley cup team on the ice.

many teams and fans bellyache that it's hard to win stanley cups. but they don't want to trade picks and prospects to take the risks involved.

am looking forward to more nhl content as your videos go live in the future.

cheers from southern ontario, canada 🍁

  3. A lot of people don't know last Vegas has had hockey teams in the past before the golden knights played a game the golden knights made me fall in love with hockey again

  4. Reiterate Brodie’s point on LTIR… 11 teams are over the cap with LTIR in consideration. Vegas is not the worst offender-See TML. Given rules in play, they are doing what they are allowed to do. On the league to agree to modified rules going forward?

  5. Love this channel and your insight about the goings on not just with the sharks, but other teams in the hockey world.

Keep at it, Brodie. Youre awesome.

  6. After the Thrashers the NHL didn't want to make it so hard for expansion teams. After VGK the NHL didn't want to make it so easy for expansion teams.

  7. A friend of mine works for the Knights organization and knows the players… he said many of the players in the league try to get traded to Las Vegas …. The polar opposite of player sentiment was for the Utah Jazz in the 90’s I believe the city will attract baseball players too! Where else would a young millionaire in the prime of their life want to be?

  8. You're saying there are ONLY 6 players from the inaugural year. That's a lot. Previous expansion teams probably got rid of all their inaugural year players in the 1st few years since they weren't really that good. To still have 6 in year 6 or 7 is unheard of. By that time, you're usually bringing in the guys you drafted and building the core that you developed to become a playoff team.
That said, it's one of the disconnects I feel with VGK fans. They don't know what it's like to see their team be built from the ground up. They haven't experienced seeing a cornerstone guy get drafted, evaluated, developed through the farm, enter in as a rookie, and work his way to being a top NHL player, to take the journey with him.
I will mention a couple stupid things VGK org has done. If you buy unsold single game tix, you can't transfer them. Even if you're meeting friends at the game and just want to give them their tickets ahead of time in case one of you is running late, you can't. They told me you have to share your ticket app password with them. Who wants to do that?
Also, for Rookie Face Off, they only allowed fans for the VGK games in Henderson and a few STH for the VGK game in Summerlin. I just wanted to catch the Sharks game against Colorado or whoever, and I was told no fans could attend. That's so ridiculous.
On top of that, they put their games on an OTA station. If you're a cord cutter that can't get antenna reception, you have to pay extra to stream it. In fact, they charge the same price as ESPN+, so it costs the same to watch VGK games in market as it does out of market. There's almost no benefit to being in market. If they're making the games free for antenna users, they might as well make them free for streamers. The streamers will see the same ads as the antenna users.

  9. Jets fan, not a Vegas boy. Hate the Knights for continually knocking us out in round one… BUT Brodie you are so off about Vegas GK branding. Great logo. Colours are cool. Golden helmets fit the over-the-top excess of Vegas.

Never change VGK. I wanna see a Jets game there.
