   Really pumped we won but that’s an unacceptable 2nd and 3rd period. Only 5 shots the last 2 periods and getting outshot 50-16 is not going to work usually. Unreal game by Vasy

    Heating up at the right time. These games matter a ton and having the confidence of beating arguably the best two teams in the conference heading down the stretch is so, so big.

    These last 2 games showed that we can contend if we ride our stars. Big 4 points, wasn’t Kucherov night but still 2 points. Dumba and Duclair have absolutely injected something into this team.

    Look that’s a great win right there, I don’t give a shit how ugly it was. Vasy was an absolute animal, that’s the kind of game that gives you confidence he’s still got it somewhere in there. But holy shit, the coaching staff needs to go back to the drawing board and rethink the strategy when holding a lead. That was an absolutely hideous 2 periods of play. That wasn’t even good structure shut down defense, that was sit back and pray for Vasy/the post to bail us out. It’s malpractice that this hasn’t been fixed given how we went out last year and it’s 100% going to get us bounced again this year if we don’t fix it.

    Man, I know we played awful for the final 30 minutes, but we beat the team with the best record in hockey and Vasi looks like prime Vasi again. I’m happy.

    We got absolutely rocked lol but thank god Vasy was playing the best I’ve seen all season and we got some great luck. But zero shots on the power play minus Stammer’s goal and 16-50 in shots is terrible. Stoked we got the win but we have to play way better if we expect to compete in the playoffs.

    Beating both the Rangers and Panthers in a row after both teams had been 4-0 against us is definitely a chance to be our turning point.

    Now we need to finish business. Win two of the next four games and this road trip is a success.

    I truly have no idea where the playoff potential of this team lies, but these last 2 games show they’re capable of stringing some things together and making it interesting. Anything can happen once you’re in.

    That was honestly an awful and slightly embarrassing game but obviously I’m happy with the two points. And seeing Vasy play like that is awesome. I just really hope we do better going forward.

    Take the win, but it is hard to watch how far this team’s blue line and defensive structure has fallen apart over these last almost 2 seasons.
