Day 7: Choose your most memorable Caps player whose first or last name begins with the letter “G”



Please excusee my poor quality and editing. The player in the comment that gets the most up-votes gets the selection. I don’t choose the player.

So far, I’ve been a little surprised with a couple of the selections, but interesting nonetheless.

    I hate how this rule hasn’t been consistent about first vs last name. It should be Mike Gartner

    Guys, Mike Green isn’t event the best “G” defenseman the Caps have had.  Sergei Gonchar had more goals, points, and was a better overall defender.  NHL didn’t keep shot blocking and hit stats until the second half of his career, and in the last 10 years when he was old and broken he had more hits and blocked shots than Green.  All of this to say **Mike Gartner** is the correct choice, stop it with this foolishness.
