Bak is just too risky man, the only way I’m on board is if they get Fant as well as a swing guy because we really believe Rodgers wants a Rookie starting over Bak? He’d trust Bak more
Good that JD is making the OL a priority, and I have always said the Jets need an identity on O, and maybe we'll see more power football from the Jets this season, but you need a bruising type RB and another WR with speed and maybe the Jets will have an O this coming season and as usual go Jets from Detroit.
You are right about the Jets switching to Smash Mouth football, as we are not getting bombs away 4 time MVP Rodgers hanging in the pocket and throwing long. We are getting 40 yo Rodgers coming off Achilles surgery with lesser mobility, Aaron will be in old-man survival mode and will not want to take hits, he will be throwing enough checkdowns to look like the reincarnation of Mike White ( or Len Dawson for us oldtimers from the AFL). Checkdowns will beat the lesser teams but the better defenses can shut down that approach.
Worst case scenario is otw which is Joe Douglas signing David bakhtiari saying the OL is complete with Simpson, bakhtiara, & Moses then going and drafting a defensive player at #10
Actually I shouldn’t say worst case because I see this happening
Bullshit we’re still in a horrible place prove me wrong! You’re the same guy that talks nice in the off-season, and then every game you bitch and complain! Be honest Tyson for once
I'd rather see JD make moves that make sense, like bringing Moses back, instead of huge desperation moves. That's what caused this mess in the first place. Hopefully, he can bring in Williams, Boyd, or Samuel, but I'd like to see Corey Davis return to help solidify the locker room. Side note- I've been pushing for D'onta Foreman as RB2. He's a big bodied, hard running veteran at a low cost who has filled in nicely when the RB1 was down.
Douglass is looking for solutions and not trying to hit a home run with a mega contract hot shot. He got #10 which is a miracle and he really should not have it but Aaron got hurt early last season.
Maybe I'm a little bit too old school but I like the moves the Jets have been making at OL. That should be priority #1. If you can't protect Rodgers nothing else matters.
They actually didn't let him go. As I remember, he wanted to be guaranteed a starting spot, but we already had Bechton starting at LT and Fant at RT. So the only option he had if he stayed with the team was as a backup. He signed with the Ravens because he knew they were going to give him the RT position.
I think Douglas is trying to build a solid if not flashy line, nothihg wring with that. If warren shapes up he might beat out someone and start.
They also could sign mcgovern as depth, you could have him, warrwn, schweitzer as depth. Mitchell looked like shit, so IDK if Jets should keep him.
Real question is Carter, can he take a good if not spectacular line& make it better? His scheme was an utter mess, can he build a simpler scheme?
LT is a concern. If Baktiari is a stopgap until a rookie takes over I am ok w it, as long as it isnt expensive.
Injuries are a concern, moses and baktiari, if jets get him, are older. Jets potentially could get Bechton cheap, doesn't look like he is a hot commodity. As depth on a cheap contract might be worth it.
Of course the big issue is Hackett, if jets are building a run oriented o line, Hackett is a horrible coach to have. This is the clown who didnt know what Hall could do,&is a west coast guy ( may that label disppear from the NFL).
Overall I don't feel horrible with what douglas has done, it has some thought behind it, but not sure if execution. He is giving himself flexibility, where the draft can be used to maybe get a receiver or TE, and maybe a qb in 3rd round for long term.
Lot of questions though w coaching, and Rodgers is certainly creating noise he claimed to want to get rid of. I am sure he is enjoying being the center if attention but he is stupidly playing this like he does everything else. If he meant what he aaid aboit noise he would publicly say 'hey, I am flattered, but I am the QB of the Jets', milking this makes him look like an ass.
Im happy with the construct so far. Williams would be a good gamble at wr2. I disagree with the statement yhat he is injury riddled. Prior to the acl last year he was a model of durability and i would gamble on gettinh a good year from him. Good show today
Did Joe Douglas watch the AFC Championship game? Moses got worked that day. Joe hasn't improved the Jets by even half a win so far. I can guarantee you not one sports book is moving the Jets futures up based on any of these moves. 2024 still D.O.A. Nothing has changed.
Joe Douglas finally does his job to a degree and fans are suddenly forgetting all the bs from the last five seasons lol. Can't get excited about Bhaktiari and these other names.
Still need to draft a OL in the first rd, we need a build a OL for longevity & Moses is an older dude . I can definitely see Bakhiatari coming here because of the connection with Rodgers but he's gonna be this years version of Duane Brown , you can't count on him . I can see Douglas trading back but my hope is we stay at 10 & draft an OL …. I don't count on this coaching staff to coach anyone up, they are the worst in football.
You're seeing that the only way we can sign decent FA's is to trade for one , no one that has options is coming to play for the worst, most clueless HC in football.
While I like the moves, just to look at the " other side of the trade" I did read moses missed 3 games last year (first time in years) and durability is a potential issue AND why would ravens move on for a pick swap and 7th if such a good value contract?
It makes sense why we went after the Ravens offensive line there was number one in rushing last year so best believe we're going to run the ball a lot this year
Any thoughts about the Aaron Rodgers VP situation? Considering we have had Donald Trump as a president is it really that far fetched to see something like this?

I don't see much improvement Tyson. I have a feeling it'll be the same as last year.
Right, lol a few days and a few signings and we feel so much better anyway.
Best take all dam day
If the Jets built a smash mouth run first offense I would have an orgasm! I am so embarrassed now to admit it LOLOL
Like the move I agree with you I have a feeling that splash move is coming!!!
Corey D please come back

Anything on a possible Corey Davis comeback? I wdnt mind that if you still go out and bring someone else in via FA or draft

Maybe Donovan Smith to start until rookie is ready? Then Smith can swing.

Tyson I am a year older than when I seen Tyrone last. Where is he????😂😂😂😂😂😂

2025-2026
The o line hasn't really improved that much
Ok he got two linemen which is a no brainer, not can they both play at a high enough level not to kill our QB? I give Douglas a C+ for linemen.
One legit issue with FA – Jets are giving Kinlaw $7.25 million with $6.91 million guaranteed – HUUUUGE OVERPAY
Nope I'm not buying in at all don't trust him he has screwed up enough

Terrible signings
If they dont draft an offensive linemand in the 1st round it would be an abomination. We need to go to Rex's philosophy….RUN THE BALL!!!!!!

The only complaint I have, and it's minor, I would have liked to keep Q. Jefferson instead of Kinlaw. Otherwise, i have no complaints
Williams would be great pending a physical
I'm not a big JD fan, but I'll give him his due for this off season.

Do a video on wacko Rodgers 😂
Any thoughts about the Aaron Rodgers VP situation? Considering we have had Donald Trump as a president is it really that far fetched to see something like this?
No I did that last year and disappointed big time
