I'm not a fan of Boston (blues fan) but Shannon seems to always be too hard on the Bruins. They have the second best record in the league percentage-wise.

Key to tampa is as it has been vasy, guy had to relearn how to play his position and seems to be finding his game again. Now can he find his playoff game again, dont know I know that surgery he had usually spells bad things for a goalie but sports medicine has gotten so good who knows. But if he is finding his game that can give the defensive pieces they brought in a chance to gel with the team and they could make some noise but even as a tampa homer I dont think they are a serious contender for the cup.

Carolina beats Florida 4-0, 2 spots behind Florida
Rangers lost last week to tampa 6-3, and lost to Florida.
Explain these rankings to me someone plz.
I think every team in the league would take the week the Canes had.
Carolina deserves to be higher than Florida after beating them 4-0

Dallas fan. Honestly happy to stay put. The frustration is knowing the talent is there to blow every team away, but then seeing a very inconsistent on ice product.

Maybe you can make a video about who moves around the power rankings the most? IE: the most consistent teams to the streakiest teams.
Astounding to see the canes move down a spot when they 4-0 blanked panthers SECOND time Ina row. AND make the comeback against Toronto with 2 empty new goals when they hadn’t scored a since one all year. Regardless if they got 1-0 shutout against NYR earlier in the week.
I don't ever post on these types of things but I am going to… 7-2 vs Cal… 0-1 vs NYR… 4-0 vs FL… 5-4 Tor… and you want to talk about goals drying up… in their last 4 games they have scored… 16 goals and allowed 7… they just got Anderson back, we also picked up "Slowest Shoot Out" Kuznetsov…. and "Trade Deadline Lottery" Guetzel… our lines look scary from the top to the bottom… I don't see how we dropped and did not go up this week. You didn't mention the butt whipping that Florida got from us… I am out… thank you for the time.

Sorry I have to ask but with you are saying is right about Boston the last 2 wins against Montreal and Philly were not that impressive but they are number one in the NHL standings this they should be a little bit more higher up definitely not top 5 but 6 or 7 my be I just think Boston should be higher up

The caps absolutely surged forward. I know they had the smackdown against Edmonton but frankly I expected that. They showed up against Vancouver and that was BIG.
Oilers are the biggest pretenders.
I love this channel! I agree with Shannon on almost lot of things. One thing I cannot agree with is how Toronto is 5 on the power ranking, and Bos, Dal, Van aren’t even in the top. (Yes, I know how is power rankings are different than the norm) but for my argument Boston can’t be 9 when they dummied Toronto 2 times in less than 5 days(also, I know that was last week but my point still remains).

Set design suggestions: A white board in the background somewhere (maybe replacing the calendar?) depicting updated standings. I saw you posted about making magnets a couple weeks ago. The picture looked like they were pennant flags of each team. Those would be great for a standings board. Reminiscent of Yankee Stadium using pennant flags of each team on their roof and how they rearrange them daily to update the standings.

Wow, I usually don’t disagree with your Rankings, but I have to say Carolina Dropping one spot, after a great week of hockey for them. This was the most convincing week yet in their season and that they are a top three team. The Ranger loss was a 1-0 loss, beat the best team right now imo the Florida panthers 4-0 and even when they struggled against the Leafs in the first period, took control of that game about halfway through it.
You’re still the best, least biased hockey commentator/analyst out there

As a Calgary 🔥 fan, in the past 18 months we've lost 7 or 8 impactful players, all new management and coaching staffs, and a new Captain.
I'm happy with the returns this season on trades, and with all the new young players on the team, the emergence of a really effective leadership group among the players, and expecting that there should be some significant salary cap room to work with in the off season and next season. 🏒
