I found this interesting as maybe it’s a bit of a rationalization by them, but on the flip side, we are 9-7-3 in that same span, which is a marked drop from before that.

I’m sure it’s not all him, but seriously, WTF IS going on with us, we’ve been pedestrian at best. We’d be fighting for a playoff spot if only the games since the new year counted, and that’s very concerning with the playoffs coming up.

He is a cancer that is killing my Canucks. What lazy hockey player. You dodged an 8 million a year pos.

I don’t understand how we can blame someone on the third line for the second line being a black hole and the fourth line being unable to get out of their own zone.

Reading the headline made me think its a coincidence, but it is interesting that by every stat calgary’s defence got worse and offense got better after trading lindholm. By the eye test this tracks with what lindholm seems to be; really solid defensively, but currently, a bit of a blackhole on offense

  5. Lindholm.has had.decent games and bad games. He has had 1 good game, which was the first game after the trade.

I am not happy we gave up Kuzmenko and a decent defense prospect AND a 1st rounder for him.

  6. Is it Lindholm fault Petey has been a ghost? Demko’s injury? Joshua? Quinn’s streaky play?

Getting rid of Kuzmenko’s $5.5M cap next year was huge.

Since Feb 1st Canucks are 5th in xGF%, 3rd in CF%, 5th in xGA. They’re literally playing like a top 5 team in the league, the problem have been special teams who are absolutely killing them, especially the power play.

PP is 8/53 or 15% with 3 SHG allowed. So many opportunities to tie the game in 3rd periods but never happens.

PK is 42/56 or 75% which is pretty average, an 800SV%. They’ve had **seven** 5on3 called against in this stretch.
