Pospisil hit on Larsson – Have your say!

Martin Pospisil hit Adam Larsson into the boards just seven seconds into this game. The result was chaotically awkward as Larsson pitched forward and downward head first. But was it just a routine hit with an odd ending? Have your say!

  1. It looks bad but this is on larsson, you have to be aware of your surroundings, this is still hockey not soccer, expect to get every minute ffs

  2. Thats a penalty. Head into the boards. Should he be prepared to take it probably. But lets not encourage those hits.
In soccer, the team gets a free sub for head injuries to discourage people from continuing to play with a concussion. I'm not sure what the equivalent would be for hockey. But it is an idea.

  3. Ehhh…looks like a clean hit in a bad spot. It's a tough place to take a hit like that but I don't know if I necessarily blast the hitter for this one. You do need to be aware of your surroundings out there as well. Seems like there is a lot of players these days, younger guys it would seem mostly, who are purposely NOT paying attention out on the ice. It's like they're under this falsehood that they're just gonna "be okay" no matter where they are or what they're doing. You need to realize, rule or no rule, some guys are out there to get you. Keep your head on a swivel kids, or you're gonna lose it.

  4. So Popsicle had a boarding/charging with the other player's head going into the boards twice in one game? I'd expect a meeting with the DOPS.

  5. Looks bad, boarding to me – hit into the boards in a dangerous position. Seems to me if he throws a hip check instead, it would have been fine. A dangerous hit that could have been avoided, or at least, that’s how it looks to me.

  6. Larsson wasn't ready for this hit, plain and simple. Pospisil didn't charge. It was shoulder-on-shoulder. Larsson leans forward before the contact. It's unfortunate. It looks bad. But it's not a penalty.

  7. larsson had his head down and is not making a play on the puck…. poposil is allowed to hit him as hard as he wants to
