I was really hoping he’d add a third goal tonight for a hat trick.

Can’t wait. When will be start working on the assists record?

  3. toxicvegeta08

So he’s on pace for what 24 and that’s with an awful 3-4 month start.

He should be able to do probably 30 ish at least the next two seasons to hit 900.

Guy kills it on the powerplay. Always has come through

russia haters are going to be in shambles once he gets it

Ovi has had a great career. But he’s getting older and this level of performance just will get harder next year and the year after if he stays in the league and doesn’t go back home. I think lots of social and political factors could be weighing heavily on him aside just age. I just have my doubts he does it.

  7. I love how ovi can shoot from his office hundreds of times and always goes in

There should be an astrrisk beside his name if he beats Gretzky . He has been on the Russian gas for his entire career .. he is the Barry bonds of hockey

I thought Calgary was going to let him get the record tonight

I hope that homophobe never reaches the record.

  11. I was at the game, Ovechkin covered the same 100 feet all night, no more. The rest of the Capitals were no where near him during warm ups or the anthem, he’s just waiting for pucks and mailing it in, he’s a goal suck and I don’t cheer for him.

Don’t want him to break the record

  13. daxtaslapp

I wanna see him go on fire these last few games

Did not realize I’d need so much popcorn for the conments

I don’t like the caps at all but I’m rooting for Ovi! Always liked the guy especially after seeing a “docushow” about his life growing up and the stuff before the NHL
