Josh Manson illegal check to the head of J.T. Miller – Tough Call Recommendation

Josh Manson saw J.T. Miller vulnerable the whole way and somehow managed to make the choice to hit him from behind at head height anyway.

  1. As an Avs fan that is a big proponent of harsher penalties for head hits, I am good with 3 games. Does not matter if he didn't mean to, or if Miller was selling it. Manson has to be aware and take steps to avoid a dangerous hit.

  2. Yep. Agree it also wasn't major force. Under current rules I expect a 1-2 suspension. I wonder if they reviewed this in-game. I'll never understand 2 minutes for illegal check to the head

  3. An Avs player not being disciplined after headhunting the Canucks' leading scorer. I feel like I've seen this one before.

  4. Replay after reply after replay. At any speed you like. Manson sensed a vulnerable player and made absolutely ZERO contact, legal or otherwise. He simply avoided any and all contact. But buddy was already going down hard and that couldn't be helped. That's like guilt by association.

  5. I still don't know how this wasn't a 5 minute and game misconduct… 2 minute and the best player on the ice is forced to leave the ice… refs 🤦‍♂️

  6. This is nothing compared to what the blues did to girard in their cup year… with no penalty by the way… stop crying maybe miller shouldn't put himself in such a bad position… just ask Naslund reaching for the puck.. DONT DO THAT

  7. I read an media post on this claiming it was late in the 3rd.. HUM… more bounties from Vancouver media… good thing the chump bertuzzi is long gone… suck an egg Vancouver…
