Had his chance to play with matthews and made it count! Sure hope he’s here next year

Domi has good eyes. He sees the game. I’ve always knew he could do what Marner does watching him from his Carolina days.

  5. If Matthews, Bertuzzi and Domi become a formidable line, I’d like to see Tavares reunited with Marner. And Nylander can drive his own line with Jarnkrok. That will give the Leafs three scoring lines with Matthews, Marner and Nylander all on separate lines.

I’d like to see this line when Mitch comes back

    Max Matthews Marner

    Mmhmm line

  7. Anyone hear him say “thanks bob” to Shawn Mackenzie after the interview?? Hilarious hahaha

Maaaan, I really hope we resign these guys at the end of this season 🥲

  10. I believe Keefe in his post game press conference just touched on the fact that Bert. Has concussion symptoms . Mentions he did not feel right . Took warm ups . Sat on bench at start of game – wanted to see if the noise bothered him . It’s either a concussion symptoms or a bad ear ache. I know 2 things – ear ache , pain meds and or plug the ear with say cotton balls causes vertigo symptoms. Play at the speed and the movement would cause balance issues bad . Concussion symptoms most times / people flu like symptoms, additionally some people it’s noise , some it’s movement, others it’s light . Some all these at once. Concussions symptoms are not predictable on a timeline individuals to individual or each time an individual gets a concussion. That’s why they have a proven reliable protocol to follow. Problem is you take the test and fail the test baseline . You are now on the NHL minimum timeline as per the league and NHLPA agreement. The protocol as it’s known. That involves shut down for a time period. A day or 2 . Then light exercise or a set short time. Any issue during that exercise or within a window after . Back to square one . No issue during light exercise, move to next step . More vigorous longer duration exercises like a bike interval test . No issues . Next day light skate no contact etc . Issues during bike test back to step 1 . After the light skate it’s take the baseline test – pass and your ready to practice with contact as per the process . Then available to play games as per process . FYI – players do a baseline test in camp before the season. Could be more than just 1 test – 3 could be done and it averaged . Player / training staff log into a site take the test – that test is compared to your baseline result from camp . The site is monitored by an independent neurologist that’s contracted by the NHL and NHLPA – results are reported to the team doctor. The PA gets a pass or fail as does the league. I should mention the timeline is based on hours – not really days . So it’s 24 hrs intervals before a player and work through the process . Some time teams can get creative with the timeline legally . Lots of factors are involved- travel , time zone etc . The process can be completed as per the process and agreement in 4 day if it’s say the play offs . The clock and process starts with taking the baseline test , it’s important that the player reports symptoms honestly asap so a decision can be made by a teams training and medical staff on taking the baseline test. Gone are the days where the team staff doctors ignored issues . This new process is all in the hands of the player to speak up. Knowing Bert’s as tough and stubborn as they come is what concerning.
