  1. It's over Johnny. Unfortunately, there not gonna change. I, for one, would drive Jarry to the airport given the opportunity.

  2. Jarry is just so inconsistent. He get's a shutout and then the next game get's blown out. It happens almost everytime. He's not they guy. Time to find someone new.

  3. So, as a concerned Penguins fan, how are we supposed to support this organization in the future if they stay the course (Sullivan as coach, the core four still around, and not giving young talent a chance, poor goal tending)? This is a carbon copy of the past 5 years. I, for one, have a bitter feel for this calamity and would be hard pressed to support!???

  4. I think a fair criticism of Jarry is that he cracks at the biggest moments. In fairness to him though, the Pens time after time have no defense, and the offense is up and down. You can't take on that many shots and at some point not crack. The expectations are unfair at this point because the team is below average right now to be kind.

  5. Jarry looks like one of those players whose stats aren't horrible, but when you look at the actual play and play "when it counts," it falls short.

  6. I doubt that they’ll be able to move Rakell this offseason. They should give him one more chance to bounce back next year and then try to move him when his value is higher.

  7. Name me a goalie who has faced more two on ones in the past 4 years. We don't have a goalie problem we have a defenseman who don't play defense problem.
Also when we score a goal the 4th line goes out right after the line that gets nailed in their own zone. But yeah must Jarry 🤦🏻‍♂️

  8. If the Pens have a young goalie or 2 in the system who might be good, I think you stick with what you have. The Pens have much bigger problems than goal tending. The goal tenders are pretty much on their own out there..some help from the rest of the team would be helpful. Ed

  9. The best way to improve all the goaltending (Jarry, Ned and eventually Blomqvist) is to play a system that gives up far fewer 2-on-1's against … get that down to league normal … and get better defensively in front of the net. Otherwise, you need Dominik Hasek in his prime in order for this team as it is constructed with the system it plays to be a contender. I think there is a legit concern that Jarry tends to shrink back to his goalline when the game is on the line. But at the same time, there isn't an elite goaltender out there who is available. The best available UFA last summer … after Jarry … was Frederick Andersen. There is no Vasilevskiy, Sorokin, Hellebuyck, Demko or Shesterkin out there to just bring in and replace Jarry.

  10. Nedel is better than Jarry.. I don't care what the numbers say, fact is he actually wins games… Jarry is 4 games below .500. Whether it's his fault or the team around him, fact is he finds a way to lose.

  11. DK have you noticed the Pens seem to roll with those lanky/skinny/rangy/light weight D-men who are not strong on their skates? I think NHL D-men need to be sturdy and strong on their skates. We have and have had lots of D-men who are just too frail, cant keep the puck, cant clear the crease, and really can defend well enough. Some past ones are Oli Maata and John Marino. Now we have PO and the Dragon. Graves is tall, but he has some mass to him..he just isnt very good. I think the whole defense needs to be reworked to compete in the playoffs..or at least get in the playoffs. We had Gubrandson…very tall, but no one wants to mess with him and he can play..why we didnt keep someone like him escapes me. In any case, I think the right thing to do is a total revamp of the D..that would involve trading some marque players I think and would help the forwards and goalies immensely. I also think getting rid of Chad was a mistake. I'm gonna watch the rest of the games…who know how long some of our great players will be around.

  12. Jarry proved that he can’t handle pressure during the 2021 playoffs against the Islanders. He continues to fold during pressure games. They should no longer waste their time believing Jarry could be better.
