  1. anyone defending Lalonde with the "its all on the players" are the same Detroit simps who defended Ausmus year after year when it was obvious he was a horrible coach. Lalonde, is in over his head. Period. So basically the veteran players are running the team and doing whatever the h*ll they want…including who plays and with whom.

  2. from your discussion they don't have that much speed and they are not big enough to steal the puck from big forwards from opposing team. We had the same discussion when Red wings used to lose continuously with San Jose sharks as they used to cycle the puck along the boards and red wings were not that big enough to take the pucks from them resulting in late period goals most of the time in last 30 secs of the third period or at the end of powerplays.

  3. A few notes:
    * "They're playing dump-and-chase hockey" — no they're not. They're playing dump hockey. There's no chase.
    * They really don't have to call people up. They very well could've, but I'd argue that they shouldn't have. Stevie should've gone in the room and told the boys to figure it out, to find their passion and their desire to make the playoffs, and only make a call in case of injury.

  4. Don't forget, Yzerman is not Lou Lam where he wants to ice a NHL team every year and that's it. He wants to build a franchise in to a winning one, from bottom to top. I get the anger toward not having rookies on our team, but, imo we are spending time building a winning team year in and year out. Starting next year, I imagine Stevie will start seeing that the young guns are either forcing their way on to the roster, or forcing their hand to use them as a high value asset for a stellar trade.

  5. @RDRyAN33 there was a problem with your mic sensivity. At the end of all of your sentences, you faded out and the last couple of words werent able to be heard as good
