A few days ago, the New Jersey Devils defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2. The Devils have now won seven straight games against the Penguins. Despite their inconsistencies, the Penguins don’t give them much trouble. Timo Meier came up big on the power play a couple of times. Alexander Holtz redeemed himself after committing a mistake on the defensive end.

The Devils haven't lost anything with Timo. I don't care if he had what some consider a down year. Keep him at right wing and direct him to the front of the net and watch him cook!

Big test is tonight. If they can beat the Jets might have a miniscule sliver of a hope. Was a fun to watch the Devils play well, has not happened very often lately.

Ruff grossly mishandled Holtz, benching him was not the wrong thing to do, but then Lindy let Jack/Luke get MORE ice time when they made worse mistakes. It sends the wrong message…. while I don't think Green is long term, at least he's making the RIGHT calls with the young players
If we gain some confidence make a run for the 8th spot and in a 7 game series this team isn't a pushover… Go for it!!! Jake Allen is playing like a first string keep him going!!!
