After Mcdavid, Drai, and Hyman. Forwards are dust in the offensive end. Nuge has a horrific shot. Kane has far too many bad games. Foeg/mcleod are sadly not top 6 forwards on a cup champion team. Brown and Janmark are atrocious. Our biggest issue was another top 6 winger and we answered that with a 34 year old who is slow to begin with. Penalty kill was bad today but the shot counts in recent losses tell the story of our weak forward core.
All the old coaches shuffled lines, this guys success was everyone played……..mark it down as another coach going to play 5 players most of the game and in a back to back to boot, like 29 puts up some numbers but my god he gives the puck away a lot! You need to play everyone like you did at the start to win in the nhl, 1-2 players do not get you a cup……..my god Edmonton of all teams should know this by now!
I would like to contact the coach. Chris, you've done an amazing job. After your arrival, the team has been transformed. But now the team is showing unpreparedness for the playoffs. The main problem is that the team does not have a dangerous superstar. The most important problem and the reason why the team will be eliminated from the playoffs if this does not change is the terrible game of Zach Hyman in the link with Mcdevid. In EACH game, you can sit and count how many times Hyman overstayed the puck and lost it…All attacks end with Hyman over-holding the puck and losing it. He does not give passes out of the fight, he does not see and does not want to see partners open for transfer. He steams moment by moment for the sake of what he wants, he really wants to score a lot!!! This selfishness of one man destroyed the McDavid link. It looks more and more disgusting as the Cayman approached the age of 50. He does not play a pass at all, he does not give passes for the right goals and therefore the team loses chances! Loses the opportunity to lead in the score. This can be seen in absolutely every game – either Hyman loses the puck without giving a pass, or he throws stupidly in attempts to score. His greed is obvious, he doesn't care about the team, he's only interested in his stats. Such a player should not play in the same team as Mcdevid. Because Mcdevid has turned into a servant who delivers transfers to Hyman. Because of this, Connor has lost his game, he plays terribly. He doesn't want to solve the moments and doesn't solve them! He's looking for someone to pass to, he's NEVER played like that. You have to remove Hyman from the mcdevid link. Connor's link should only be built around Connor. He has to throw himself and score himself, and the partners have to give him passes. It's funny, but over the last three seasons it's hard to remember anyone giving Connor a pass that turns into a sure goal. He has to create his own moments. This is fundamentally wrong. But Hyman just puts the clubs in and stuffs the statue. It should be the other way around. You may not react to this, but if you don't remove Hyman from Connor's link, there will be a lot of mistakes in the playoff, there will be a lot of lost moments and the team will be eliminated. It is necessary to have time to make sure that there is a link in which you can use the attacking potential of Mcdevid. Hyman, if he is such a master, let him show himself in the 2nd tier with other partners. This is a serious problem and the team has lost all the last games for this reason. Hyman destroys Connor's attacking potential, he does not understand how to play a fast pass, he is psychologically selfish and is not ready to learn how to play for partners. It is unacceptable for the success of the team for such a player to play in a link with Connor.
