  1. As a life long Hawks fan I've seen a lot of disappointing hockey, but I've also seen a lot of excellent players – Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Denis Savard, Steve Larmer, Jeremy Roenick, and of course more recently Toews and Kane – it's hard to not be too hyperbolic about Bedard after only 51 games in the NHL – but if he stays healthy (knock on wood) when it's all said and done he may end up being the best of the bunch – and that's quite a statement considering the HOF players on that list.

  2. Bedard has had a great season, but for whatever reason, so many of his goals have come at Home. Once he gets going on the road, look out!

  3. Hello Connor was scoring a lot of early goals on the road. Only since he’s been back has he started scoring at home. You need to also remember that the opponents are always watching him. I mean they have played against tough opponents hunting a playoff spot. All the big teams are putting out their best defender against him. He sets up plays when he is not scoring. He is not a selfish player like some guys in the nhl.

  4. I will admit… before he got drafted… I was skeptical. But the kid has got the goods… he really is fun and amazing to watch. I just wish he would get his ego in check a bit…. concerns me he is that easy with saying the things he has said to team mates and even refs as a rookie. And the emotion flares seem to come out every game. Kid needs to get that in check.

  5. The fact that he was injured for a month and a half and still came back ahead of the rookie race in terms of points should say something

  6. Kind of reminds me of the Yzerman rookie year!! Conor is more of a pure goal scorer but Stevie Y went to a terrible team and was given the C right away and wore it for 21 years!!! Conor will be able to write his ticket in Chicago and I bet we see him with the C next year
