What DIDN’T happen was a Linus Ullmark trade, as he reportedly said no to moving to Los Angeles. We don’t know the possible return, but the goalie hug lives on for a few more months at least.

Maroons best days are behind him but at least we didn't get rid of anything important . I hate to see Linus insulted by the team by attempting to trade him but i guess that's business.

i would not touch Pierre Luc Dubois. especially with six or seven years of term left. he definitely has talent, but also has baggage. everyone in Columbus wanted to immediately blame John Tortorella. but there was issues in Winnipeg and already this year with the Kings. the perfect time to move Ullmark would be at the draft. and try to create more cap room going into free agency. debrusk future with the bruins might not be figured out until after the season.

You are dreaming if you think the Kings would trade Byfield. He is the crown jewel of their development program and will be the most skilled player on their entire roster by the time he is 23.
At 21 he is already almost there.
Extremely fast, and at 6'5" he is becoming a physical beast. His puck pursuit is already the best on the team and maybe even the entire league. Really long reach along with his speed.
Already playing on tgeir top line with Kempe and Kopitar and can double shift with any line the Kings have.
Overpaid 7th D pylon.
Injured and don't even know when he'll be back to goon Pat Maroon.
Only hope we have for a 2nd rd this year is playing the Leafs in the first round.

Love ulmark but what he did was wrong and highly disrespectful to the game itself. Doing what he did being the fact he essentially persuaded his way out of being traded is just a bad look for him and the front office in Boston. Sweeney and Neely need to be gone at the end of the year regardless of how far they go in the playoffs which is probably a first round exit to the leafs.
This is Ullmarks last season in Boston. No team can pay 2 goalies top of the market salaries, Swayman is due. Whether people like it or not, a huge overhaul is coming this summer. They need a true #1 at center, and at least 2 physical wings that can score. Plus, they are mentally weak which is why they threw a Hai Mary with Pat Maroon. Goodbye Ullmark, goodbye DeBrusk, goodbye Grzelyk, and a couple more.
