  1. Our power play was so good when it was stacked I have no idea why we give comp and copp power play time sprong is a 20 goal 4 line guy getting benched not evrey player has to back check it would be nice but it is what it is I’d rather have the extra goals

  2. I don't see how you can call a team that put up 7 on you should be considered "easy". They haven't been good this season overall (sabres) but if the players go in thinking like that they're gonna get another touchdown scored on them

  3. You guys would really be screwed,if it was not for Kane, our beloved Blackhawk icon!Debrincat, I don’t know,I don’t think he is the savior that people think he is,we will see!But they sure could of used more scoring from in ,especially in the recent past!

  4. Our playoff fate is no longer in their own hands. Simply put, the final spot is between Washington, Philadelphia, and Detroit. If Philly or Washington skids and Detroit treads water, we're still in. But if we miss, that's okay too. It's a learning experience for the boys, the coach, and even for Stevie, because he'd learn that some of the guys signed this past offseason — Holl, Ghost, etc — were not the players he thought they were.

The simple fact remains though, that we were all told to not expect playoffs again this past offseason by both Stevie and Newsy. If we fail to make it, it's still expectations met IMO.

  5. The Wings have to get 4 points minimum in the NASCAR trip (Carolina, Florida, Tampa) or the season is likely over

Agree on both the Raymond should be separated from Larkin and it is completely baffling why Larkin, DeBrincat, Kane aren’t the top PP unit. It’s like Edmonton putting McDavid and Dreisatl on their 2nd PP unit for some unknown reason

  6. So if Stevie says, "Don't expect us to make playoffs for the next 3 years," and they don't, do you say, "It's ok expectations met"?

  7. I don't think the Wings want to sacrifice themselves hard enough, which is why they haven't sealed the deal to be in the playoffs. Having a 10 point + lead over teams like the Caps and the Isles was more than enough room to get them into the playoffs had they kept pace with at least the Bolts. Now, the Bolts are pretty much a gimme, or close to it, for the first wildcard. Those players on the Wings who've been slacking regularly on the ice, especially since the latest losing streak, want a playoff spot handed to them without working for it. Those same players need to be let go by the end of the season without letting the door hit them on the way out of Detroit. And as far as Lalonde goes, he needs to be let go as well because if he had been 1/2 the coach that Scotty Bowman was, he would have benched those lackluster players who were gettng paid rather handsomely with millions of $'s by Stevie Y and the Wings organization. I guess it's about trust, and some players the Wings acquired, like Kane and Debrincat, want to win badly and get into the playoffs more than the others who I think just want to slide into the playoffs and maybe retire from hockey altogether afterwards. Don't know. Don't know them that well. It's just a d–mn shame that they were so close to doing it but couldn't because of unreliable players who wouldn't even play as good and as hard as they were before the skid. Those players know who they are and they know whether or not they had done enough on the ice to give the Wings a chance at their first playoff series in more than 1/2 a decade. Lalonde should resign ASAP if the Wings don't qualify for the playoffs this year. He's got nobody to blame but himself for not taking action, at least on those players who gave lackluster performances. Body language tells a lot. If a player isn't putting in his best or close to it, it's time to look for another career outside of the pros. Anyhow, LGRW!!! At least for next season……

  8. I hate this team of guys. I cannot stand them. There all so mid. No one can do 1 thing exceptional. I mean kane larkin and raymond are fine. And debrincat hasn't showed up in 15 games. I'm talking veleno fabbri rasmussan chairot perron gostibhere fischer there all mid at best. Then there's garbage on the team petry holl copp. No one can make a good play or do something exceptional. No creativity on offense No one gets in tough dirty spots to create scoring chances. And on top of that they have 1 speed/tempo, they play on cruise mode it seems. When they have a must win game or there down by a goal u think they would push the tempo up, pick up the pace and apply more pressure, but nope. There terrible. I'm actually shocked they are in position there in. Not happy with team yzerman has put together at all. Never will I forgive him for signing justin holl or Jeff petry!!

  9. i agree with most of what i have heard here but i would do ya one better… why has Albert not been called up? he's over ripe and probably better than Simon???

  10. The only thing they can do is win as many games as possible and bank on the caps losing some games

  11. The Wings are done. I'm not calling for Yzerman's head (that's foolish), but I suspect there will be several more offseason changes.
