  1. hey Shannon… just pick a team as your #1. You seem to be a great hockey fan, yet you seem to be a fence sitter. imo

  2. Hear me out, playing gritty and keeping shots against low is going to help the team early on in the playoffs. I predict a round 1 win, then a feisty round 2 exit

  3. Jack Nicklaus won many tournaments when the leaders fell down the leader board by playing his own game. That involves pkaying high percentage shots and letting the leader's lose there nerve

  4. When the Canucks have everyone back from injury they'll be the guys that score when they want again. Dallas Stars are a proven team that is well respected.

  5. Iā€™m blaming the skate jersey for messing with the teams identity. And I know thatā€™s an unpopular opinion.

  6. Hey Shannon , do you have a Greenville Swamp Rabbit jersey ? , it would be cool if you did , cuz you have a rabbit . Do you have a Worchester Ice _ Cat jersey ? , that would be cool too , cause you have cats too .

  7. The glitch in all this:
Ain't over but looking likely VC gets Nashville in round 1.
They NEED Demko back and healthy and playing well to get by Trotz and Preds and Saros.
No Demko = likely first round exit.

    UNLESS:
The TEAM can raise their game.
    Norris QH outplays Norris Josi.
    And DeSmith flashes.
All three are SHOW ME SOMETHING NEW.

With a healthy Demko, VC vs Nash is basically a coin flip.

But I suspect win or lose in the first round, it's all a GROWTH AND LEARNING OPORTUNITY for next year.

But you never know. Things can fall right, players can get hot, and VC could win SC.

Hmm, suddenly I'm in the mood for waffles. But what kind of syrup…?

  8. I had no expectation that the Golden Knights would make it to the finals in their first year. But they did. Shannon, you should have expectations. The Golden Knights have been playing like a lottery team for much of the year. They got healthy, and Thompson replaced an underperforming goalie in Hill, probably due to lingering injury. You need Demko to be your best.

  9. Team Rutherford/Allvin have done an outstanding job this season. I'm only going to say that the LIndholm trade was bad after the playoffs if he doesn't contribute. If he comes back from his injury, pots a few goals, wins key faceoffs, and improves the PK then it's not a failure. The biggest problem I have the Canucks right now is how bad their special teams are, with the talent they have. They overloaded the team with penalty killing specialists, after having pretty much none of them, and brought in all this coaching staff. There's no excuse for the PK to be this bad. It's the same with the PP. They have all this talent on the powerplay and all this coaching they brought in, but there's only one puck. They need to move more and be less predictable on the man advantage. Vancouver also doesn't seem to have their line combinations sorted out and there's only nine games left in the season, which is a bit disconcerting.

  10. It was a high stick!

This happens every year. The rules change, the goalie gets injured and as always, the refs perform far worse than anybody.

  11. All i want to see is a hard fought first round win/loss. Just need to see the canucks have that desire to get that cup

  12. My wife said she really liked ur Big Mac burger video. šŸ˜‚ I told her Iā€™m pretty sure it was a quarter pounder.

  13. Traveling to LA for the game next week, hopefully thereā€™s a better result. I travel to one away game a year and so far Iā€™ve never travelled to watch them lose šŸ¤ž

  14. this home stand means nothing we are missing our Vezina candidate goalie, and the one game he played we shutout the number 3 ranked team in the west

  15. The last few games that were close they didnā€™t score early or on the Pp when it mattered while the other team did. Petey had not been on fire lately.

  16. its funny how most used to say, i just want to see the canucks play at 500 and be competitive…now we are all unhappy with the current state ..of wins losses…..HELLO

  17. Two consecutive losses and 'there's this sense of dread'???

Jesus, are there any men up there?

  18. This stretch with 2XVegas, LA & Edmonton will be very telling. Vancouver didn't get mid-season Edmonton in their previous match-ups. Vegas is wounded and they should be able to handle them, and LA has had a winning record against them.

If they can't close the season with at least 2-2 in those 4 games, then I would expect Edmonton to pass them.

But even 50% is fine. Maybe they're just saving themselves for playoffs? I'm not sure that the nucks are the most playoff ready team out there, but I think they could do some damage if they pulled themselves up by their bootstraps.

  19. The issue with Petey is heā€™s easy to knock off the puck and invisible during games. Just because he gets points doesnā€™t mean he was a game changer. Heā€™s not Hymen where heā€™s a supporting player, he is supposed to be THE guy. He canā€™t drive his own line like Miller and against big teams heā€™s ghosted lately. Not to mention, heā€™s had 6 goals since the ASG. itā€™s just not good enough.

  20. Sorry, but living in Taiwan makes it impossible (almost) to tune into your videos in a timely manner… But The PP (lack of one!) seems to EASILY have been Vancouver's Achilles' Heel post- All-Star game.. So: Why isn't "the 'round the net' goal scorer" they just traded for, Lindholm, NOT the bumper spot player?!? He was touted (to rationalize the cost) as being that slick sniper in close, with a quick decision shot; doesn't that define the bumper position? 2ndly, WHY IN ORR'S NAME is Petey sitting down on the post, or even behind the net, on 1/2 the PP's ?!?!? Is his most leathal weapon NOT his wrister (slash – snap-shot – slash – one timer)? He HAS to be THAT GUY (aka Stamkos / Kucherov / Ovey / Matthews – whether or not he's legitimately on THEIR level; you see the point, though?) He's NOT the set-up guy. Finally, get Boeser OFF the PP1 … please! Yeah, Hoglander, at the post(s), for retieval and 1-touches to the bumper, OR EVEN tip ins. PP PROBLEMS SOLVED! Cheers! (with one caveat: SHOOT THE PUCK!)

  21. I bought two Johnny Canuck Horvat sweaters, days before he was traded away. Shannon is not the only person with the power to "jinx".

  22. I don't think they are ready for a deep playoff run the way they have been playing lately. They have become predictable in the offensive zone and lack a killer instinct.

  23. They haven't been scoring but not for lack of trying. Also the defense has really picked up lately so it's not all bad. Demko is also a massive loss, Desmith has been solid but Demko being out cannot be understated.
