The Jets traded a 1st, 2nd next year and 3rd round pick this year on rental players.
When 16 teams make the playoffs the mathematical odds are this is just a waste of resources. Tons of jets fans were defending this and it is generally foolish.
The team who wins the cup can go on about how great trading for rental players is but you got to think you really 1 or 2 players away from a cup win to be serious enough to risk it. Most teams are not that close in the first place.
This is bad. Closing out the season like this is what I feared a few months back, when the Jets were 1st in the Central. Gotta get some wins heading into the playoffs.
