Alongside the Lightning going 9-1-2 in March, Jon Cooper moved into 4th All Time for Wins with a Single Franchise, passing Billy Reay with the Blackhawks.
With one (at least – hopefully more) season left under contract, Cooper is now only 50 wins shy of tying second place, meaning by the end of next season he could occupy the number 2 spot!
Whilst I don’t see him catching Al Arbour, I’m really hoping he gets another extension and puts some distance between him and Lindy Ruff, again cementing him in my mind as one of the games best coaches. Wonder where he finishes!
