kings won. even if arvidsson has another bad year, he’s been on a run to the finals so he brings experience. he’s still somewhat young. not to mention, i think the kings will be a lot better this year, which lowers the value of the picks they’re giving away

Do you think Nashville sells off more players now and starts a rebuild/retool?
I think the Expansion Draft coming up is the reason Nashville did this deal and the Kings got a bargain
knowing that LA could be a possible destination for Jack Eichel if he gets traded , Viktor Arvidsson and LA Kings fans have a lot of promissing things to look forward to
Blake actually traded for a quality NHL player.
As a Preds fan I am heartbroken why couldn’t they trade Joey his contract is huge and in all reality he hasn’t been very good I know he had a decent playoff but I’m talking overall and would’ve been better in the long run in my opinion but trading Arvy allows us to protect another player from the expansion draft as well
Here’s my take:
LA gets: An experienced player who has 30 goal upside that is on a solid contract for a few more years.
– LA has a lot of free cap space this offseason. I’m expecting this to be the first of several moves made this offseason
Nashville gets: Some picks for a guy they might lose in the expansion draft. Cap space to resign their many pending free agents. And the picks are good for their retool.
– Unfortunately, Filip Forsburg doesn’t seem to like the trade. He doesn’t seem to want to go through a retool and has a year left on his contract. Nashville might be saying goodbye to him soon
I think he is flipped to Buffalo in the future Eichel trade.
To early to tell LA wins now but depending on what the picks turn in to to tell who wins in the long term just like any trade that's a player for picks.

As a preds fan the one thing about arvidson is he has never been very productive in the playoffs.
I think the preds just traded him because they couldnt protect him from seattle so might as well get something

Where is Dustin Brown on that depth chart. He had 17 goals in 49 games last season and doesn't even make your chart…lol.
I think Nashville won this trade like he's being getting worse every season but I am exited to see what arvidson would do with the kings
