The Red Wings can't outscore their problems anymore. Reality setting in is tough right now, given how well they started 2024. Getting 3 wins in the last 15 games is ridiculously unacceptable. They would have to go at least 6-1-1 and get help from Washington while beating them next time.
Also that avs rangers game was super frustrating for an avs fan because those rangers goals in regulation were just so damn lucky. Avs fought for the win but the hockey gods had different plans

Here’s a butterfly effect story. NY Islanders third stanley cup season almost came to a premature end when Mike Bullard of the Penguins breaks in on Billy Smith in OT. Smith stops it and the Islanders go on to eliminate the troublesome Penguins finally and then win their third Cup.
But the 4 cup Dynasty was almost broken at that point

I really don't get antisemitism. It seems to me to be the ultimate form of sour grapes coming from people who are lazy and simply aren't willing to work very hard. Also tends to come from very uneducated and sheltered people who've probably never met a Jewish person in their lives. It's easy for those unintelligent people to latch onto moronic group think on internet message boards. A way for them to direct all their failures off themselves and onto some fictionalized strawman in their own minds. Denial is a powerful thing.

Yep. I don't care who the Canucks face. It's all the same. Every team can beat any other team in the NHL playoffs in a 7 game series and pretty much all the playoff teams are equally talented with the exception of one or two. The only differences come in consistency of play and psychology. Most fans still live in a world where they think there is a difference between 1st place and 6th place. Naa….they're the same team. NHL is all parity, luck and timing. Put your best hockey together at the right time, which every team has demonstrated stretches of, and get a little luck and your team might win the cup.
