For anyone wondering the top eight seasons are Gretzky. Then Lemieux in 9th, then Gretzky 3 more times and finally Orr. Mcdavid should be able to surpass Orr at 102, but reaching Lemieux at 114 will be a challenge. Not out of the question, though considering McDavid always steps it up late in the season. Oilers still have a chance for first in the division if not the conference so I doubt he gets rested.

Lemieux likely would have gotten it in 4 other seasons, possibly more, had he played the full season.

This is what the NHL should be vigorously promoting.
The epic fucking talent they have, not expansion teams in the desert.
PS: shoutout to Tavares looking ruggedly handsome in the background.

Actually many factors:
He had a much higher assist to goal ratio than mario, played full seasons and his prime occurred in much higher scoring years
His base stats are in a higher stratosphere, but context is crucial naturally

Fucking Gretzky man. What the fuck! 11 times?!

It’s like every year mcdavid decides to pick a new little side quest to keep interested. Last year he decided to score 60 goals. This year he’s going for 100 assists.

Bobby Orr being on this list as a defenseman is almost as crazy as Gretzky doing it 11 times (okay, maybe not almost, but it’s pretty damn crazy)

They don’t call him the “The Very Good One”

McDavid is God like and so is Gretzky.
I am going to go off on a limb here and say this though. I have this weird feeling that Bedard is going to be an even more prolific goal scorer than Matthew’s. I can’t imagine what he’s going to do in his prime with an actual playmaker around him.
