  1. I'm continually amazed by the courage and conviction with which women express themselves here.šŸ“

  2. I don't follow the Jets closely but it seems weird that they won't play Ehlers – Schiefele – Vilardi when I remember that line being an absolute nightmare for opponents' defense earlier in the year.

  3. Connor has always been a liability. He is a career +/- negative player, and this season is not different. It's hard to find a place to play him, because he doesn't match up well against any top players. Scheifele is a career +/- positive player and this season he has extended his +/- positive score. The jets live and die by Scheifele: when he's on, the Jets are on. I fear Scheifele might not have a higher gear to hit for the playoffs. It seems that every year, when other teams are hitting that higher gear, the Scheifele and the jets fade back. I really hope for the best for Scheifele, but I expect a first round elimination for my hometown heroes. The top guys just don't seem to have that higher gear to hit when it matters.

  4. I hope they do well. Love the Jets. But this last stretch of losses has been hard to watch. I don't see them getting past the 1st round. KFC seems to have never recovered after that knee on knee. Scheif has never really clicked with Ehlers. Perfetti hasn't found that extra gear. Their best hope is the misfortune of opponents.

  5. They rode a "good enough" road early and mid-season that even with this breakdown of the proverbial engine, they are going to sputter their way into the playoffs. Concerns are there, sure, but I mean, look at last year's Panthers. They barely squeaked their way in (with help from Chicago; Bless you, Blackhawks), but once they got in, they were a totally different beast. It just shows that the season means little, and anything can happen in the playoffs. I don't see the Blues getting 12 points while Winnipeg gets 0 and is tossed out.

  6. If they don't return to their ways = out in the 1st round
If they correct the areas that need correcting = Conference finals (minumum)

  7. @ over 60 plus former Winnipegger I will confirm I agree with ALL Jets fans who recently play like Bi-planes. Speed has disappeared most recently and I hear Ehlers will be on first line tonight! We'll see what happens BUT tonight they have to win. No buts, if's, or and!!!! GJG!

  8. 81 KC has struggled greatly since coming back from injury. it seems he's almost afraid to go to the corners, in front of the net (tho he never went to the front of the net) and anytime a player comes near him he panics and throws the puck away. This is what happened in OT against Edm. Which cost us that game

  9. Not a local..but have enjoyed watching Jets for quite awhile. I was a college student when college players I had seen were playing for Jets in WHA.. 70!s!

Sometimes wonder if this team realizes how solid they look. The killer instinct! Shannon..so aptly said. To play with an edge some snarl. āœØ

  10. They wouldnā€™t be the Jets if they didnā€™t struggle at some point, but if Boston can get bounced out in RD-1 like last year, if Tampa can get swept by Columbus a few years ago, anyone can struggle, particularly before nailing down a Playoff spotā€¦any spot.

  11. It's fine to be a Jets fan. But temper your expectations, they have a history of struggling in the playoffs.

  12. The Jets have too many pond hockey players in the top 6, no sandpaper on the 4th line and are too small & soft on the back end.
Canā€™t blame Bones for how this team is built.

  13. You asked, Iā€™ll answer, the Jets are done. Out in the first round. Iā€™m looking for a team to cheer for might be in Nashville.

  14. Itā€™s so hard being a Jets fan šŸ˜

Coaching along with loyalty issues and players not playing to their full potential are major factors.

Itā€™s TOUGH being a Jets fan.

  15. Jets could not have picked a worse time to go into a serious looking slump. Still think they play Connor H way too much, and they depend on him too much. That doesn't explain the lack of offence, which is surprising, given additions of Monahan and Toffoli. Maybe the chemistry got messed up a bit, and more time needed to mesh. However, clock is ticking. They have to find a way to stop this tailspin quickly, or they won't be be playing playoff hockey for too long.

  16. Tonight is a big game.

Those 4 games against divisional rivals are huge.

It will be interesting to see how it all pans out, hoping for the best.

  17. Jets record vs Avs
    1) 4-2 DEC 7 (Jets Win)
    2) 6-2 DEC 16 (Jets Win)
    3) Apr 13 … we shall see.

Why don't you see the jets able to beat the denver based Avs? we have every time this season (so far)

  18. Vegas… the missed penalty (5 min major) turning into a coincidentals. lead to the game winning goal. They should have been shorthanded at the time of the goal.
Ottawa… a "high-sticking" penalty (Dillon's hand) turned into the game winning goal. How do you get a high sticking penalty without hitting the player with a stick?
2 games in a row where the refs legit influenced the outcome.
