GAME RECAP: Penguins at Rangers (04.01.24) | Crosby Clinches 19th Point-Per-Game Season

Monday night, the Penguins made their second stop of their four-game road trip in New York City to take on the Rangers. Penguins started fast. Bryan Rust chipped the puck into the Rangers zone. Reilly Smith forechecked and kept the puck in, intercepting the defense’s pass attempt. Smith dished it to Crosby crashing the net with speed for a one-timer. Rust picked up the rebound and scored 18 seconds into the game. Midway through the period, Kris Letang collected the puck on the offensive zone half-wall. P.O Joseph was on the point to collect the pass from Letang. Joseph picked his head up and saw Crosby waiting for a tip. Crosby scored the second goal for the Penguins. The score remained 2-0 until the halfway point of the 3rd. Defending the defensive zone, Jesse Puljujarvi stripped the puck away from the Rangers. Emil Bemstrom picked up the loose puck and went on a breakaway to make the score 3-0 for the Penguins. New York had an answer for the Penguins scoring two of their own late in the 3rd. The Rangers pulled their goalie for the extra attacker. Rust gave the Penguins some breathing room with an empty net goal. New York pulled their goalie again but this time Crosby got the empty net giving him 82 points this season. This is the 19th season Crosby has averaged a point per game, tying Wayne Gretzky. The Penguins beat the Rangers 5-2.

  1. Głębokość spostrzeżeń, którymi się tu dzielimy, jest niezwykła, przypomina eksplorację niezbadanych terytoriów myśli.🧡

  2. Wow I can’t believe I was worried about the comment bot/butt, but here she is with 2 of her friends, nowhere near relevant to the actual video 😂

  3. Why does Carter continue to be out there in important situations? What does he have on Sullivan to keep getting put out there??

  4. SID is just not human … but what about Blue Collar Drew with that scoring chance when he straight up beat K’Andre Miller to the net & almost got his 4th goal in 4 games… hopefully he’s a big part of our future ‘cause he’s just getting better every time I see him on the ice . this was a well deserved win & the way I always knew this team could play all season long … let’s keep this going & let all the mediocre teams above us lose out !
P.S. – … that weird bounce from Rakell trying to clear it & it somehow physically moved the puck backwards 60 feet towards NED … I honestly think if JARRY was there it would’ve went in … & it would’ve added ANOTHER “sums up the whole season” moment … there’s been a LOT of those … but NED was on point – hopefully he’s rested enough to start against NJ 🤞
