Woll has an .871 save percentage since the beginning of March. Looked like he’s lost his confidence tonight for sure.
We played better for most of the night missing some of our top guys and Vasi made the saves Woll didn’t.
Marner, we miss you babe.
Leafs up 4 and 5 goals going into the 3rd against Florida and Edmonton? Near comebacks, offensive pressure from the opposition for nearly a full 20 and never feeling the lead is safe.
Leafs down by 2 into the 3rd? Nearly impossible to get any offensive time, comeback feels impossible and TWO fucking shots in the period (two more with under 30 seconds left). Terrible effort.

6 of Wolls worst 10 games this season have been in the last month while 3 of his best have also been in the same timeframe. I dont know what to think. Im kinda ready to raise my Joner tbh.
Bad game overall. I haven’t liked Woll since he’s come back. He didn’t play well tonight. No sense of urgency when you’re down. I don’t understand why this team picks and chooses when to show more effort when down. We could have clinched tonight and maybe got a leg up for home ice advantage.
Worst game they’ve played in a while.
Great effort there guys to try and take advantage of moving up, real great.
This game should solidify Sammy as game 1 starter
Matthews was great while everyone else was garbage.
Woll can’t let in the first shot and one out of every 4. Still missing Marner, and Timmins won’t be in the lineup in playoffs. This game doesn’t really mean anything tbh

rielly first game back looked awful, which is totally understandable, but needs to be better quick. no pull in the last few minutes made me real mad, hopefully keefe is questioned in the presser. I like keefe more than most of this sub but that’s baffling.
Woll has similar stats since his return to Sammy before being waived… seriously why is the goalie position cursed on this team…since Eddie Belfour.
Whatever. These are the dog days of the season and we were missing what, five regulars? The team we roll out game 1 will look a lot different. All I want for the rest of the season is to stay injury free and have 34 keep scoring
Many people are blaming this loss on Woll but collectively it was a horrible effort. It’s too bad Woll is struggling after recovering from his injury, because he’s saved us those two other games against Tampa. That being said Keefe needs to find a way to motivate this team. He was outcoached tonight and it would be unacceptable to see them go in the playoffs because the team just gives up.
I had so much confidence coming into this game. And that first period man with Reaves and the one timer from Matthews. Fuck yeah. I thought for sure we’re winning this game and we were going to ride high into the playoffs… We still might but, damn kick in the balls tonight.

Positives: Hits category and every leafs player having at least 1. That’s playoff hockey type stuff love to see that.
Reaves beating Jeannot’s ass.
Matthews is our lord.
Rielly is healthy.
Tough loss but I’ll take the positives at this stage of the year.
No doubt Woll’s got a bright future with the Leafs but right now he’s your second goalie. And that’s okay.
We need to trade for a top 4 dman. Ideally we need 2 more.
Not the only reason we lost, but Keefe intentionally putting 4th line out against their 1st line at 1-1 in our own end sort of felt like they were throwing in the towel on this game
Don’t know why the whole narrative tonight was TBL trying to catch us in the standings when we’re just as close to catching FLA. Just tough effort all around

We could have played a lot better in front of Woll. I don’t hate any of the goals he let in in a bubble except maybe the Hedman goal but I think it’s pretty much confirmed that Samsonov will be the guy going forward.
1) Didn’t like Keefe icing the 4th line vs Tampa’s best line on the 2nd goal. If you wanna experiment, send out Knies and Robertson since they will have roles on this team going forward
2) Really liked the PK. I think Dewar will have a role on this team going forward.
3) PP still sucks despite the goal. The goal came off a direct faceoff win which led to a wide open one timer from Matthews, that is not going to happen very often.
4) Speaking of experimentation, I would have liked to have seen Nylander with Matthews when we were down 3-1. Bertuzzi – Matthews – Nylander
Overall, not too worried. Fourth line had a great game overall, them being out in the defensive zone against the Kucherov line was just setting them up to fail. Vasy had a great game and kept us from getting back in it.
I’m pretty done with Domi on PP1 L1 now. Was fun for a few games but he’s trying to set up Matthews way too hard at this point and he hasn’t gelled with the powerplay at all. Hopefully Mitch is ready for the weekend.

I don’t know if people don’t understand the goalie position, or just love our goalies, but Woll was bad tonight and Sammy was bad last game.
Both need to find consistently for us to be successful in the playoffs.
Mathews line had some good moments.
I think they should be thinking about letting jones have a turn in net. I’m not confident in woll at all. I know they all weren’t his fault but still.
Pumped to see 63 up tonight but I feel like the rest of his games are going to have to be 2 goal nights if he’s gonna hit 60. After keefe interview today it seems like he intends to sit him for at least 1-3 games
