  1. Maybe people who can afford $40,000 for a pair of season seats and $15 beers.

  2. pattperin

That blue satin bomber is pretty fuckin sick but you wouldn’t catch me paying more than like, $150 for that thing

  3. I’d get that black one, if it was like $150 max.

  4. iAmClaytonator

The only jacket I’d spend that kinda money on would be the heritage classic bombers that the coaches were wearing.

  5. You can almost buy a Buzz Rickson bomber jacket for that much

  6. Comfortable_Fudge508

I just spent a few hunny on an authentic jersey with pro stitching from Ice Authentics that I shouldn’t have, so…me 😔

  7. SadAcanthocephala521

Probably the same people that can afford to regularly go to games.

  8. FireIsTyranny

I wouldn’t buy these ugly things if they were half these prices.

  9. SoldierHawk

…Why is it so hard to imagine that some people have a lot more money than we do? It’s not mysterious or confusing lol.

  10. shutmethefuckup

Go my wife a satin bomber from Starter. They’re gorgeous.

  11. Scissors4215

In all honesty, plenty of people will. The prices aren’t even that bad, I was expecting way worse.

  12. krazninetyfive

I could (and have) justified spending $300 for an authentic, high quality jersey. For a windbreaker, these prices seem to be a bit much.

I still haven’t gotten over Lowe’s different tiers of fan comment. I begrudgingly shell out for a Sportsnet subscription, but they will never see another cent of my money. Aside from the $15 beers when I get comped tickets, of course. I think that makes me a tier 3 or 4 fan.

  14. unequalsarcasm

Mitchell & Ness have been over priced garbage for a while now

  15. Siglersaurus

Damn, they weren’t lying when they said hockey is expensive 😳😳

  16. Siglersaurus

That black bomber is dope af tho. I’d pay 2-250 for it easy

  17. Yeesh, glad I drunkly bought a similar starter jacket for $150 a couple years ago

  18. memyselfandiowa

The same people who wear Canada Goose jackets.

  19. Not the people in this echo chamber. The Oilers retail team aren’t that oblivious to sales and marketing.

  20. People stuck in the 80s and 90s are willing to pay those prices. Even Starter’s jacket prices in the 90s were much more reasonable than this.

  21. Edmonton has an abundance of upper-middle-class suburbanites who have no hobbies and nothing else to spend their money on. Never underestimate the spending of suburbanites.

  22. Igor_Ulanov

They’re worth as much as people will pay for them 🤷

  23. Zinfandel_Red1914

Just wait until they end up in the thrift store, then they are priced accordingly.

  24. I don’t remember Starter Jackets being that expensive back in the 90s.

  25. Diligent-Solution429

The suede and leather jackets are over a grand last time I checked. It’s wild

  26. hugh-blue

Same people paying $50 for a scarf. I told the people working in there that was fucking criminal, I come from a sports culture where every fan wears a scarf and you can get one that’s made in the UK for about $20.

  27. Tricky_Passenger3931

Not me, but that first jacket is dope

  28. I kinda feel the same way about their $300 jerseys. But then you go to a game or walk through their downtown watch parties and you see millions of dollars in merchandise

  29. If they win the cup, I’m gonna buy the pink jacket for $200 to celebrate

  30. If they win the cup, I’m gonna buy the pink jacket for $200 to celebrate

  31. Bruuberry

FYI, the Adidas sales are already starting, some of the loser teams like the Flames are already at 40% off. Actual good fan gear is going to be way cheaper soon (probably after the playoffs for the Oilers).

  32. oddspellingofPhreid

He’s not an Oilers fan, but I know a guy who will buy stuff like this for his sports teams. He probably spends between one and two grand on sports merch every year. Mostly game worn/autographed stuff, but sometimes just stuff he thinks is neat.

  33. Plenty of folks make more money than you’d think.

  34. PsychologicalDog1641

Guys who were born after 2000 that want to look like they lived in the early 90’s

  35. godlessnihilist

Good news everyone. At those prices, free market capitalism steps up and enterprising entrepreneurs start making and selling them at much lower prices.

  36. cumulus_floccus

It feels like the only time clothing prices there are reasonable is when the clothing is marked down 50%

With toques or baseball caps, the price as is I think is reasonable, but more often than not I have waited for there to be a hat trick discount before I buy one.

  37. mysteriouscattravel

Condors have $2 domestic beers on Friday night games.
