Why does bedard look like the snobby teen villain in a Disney channel movie in that picture?

Deep down I know that Bedard will win, and probably almost unanimously, but I feel like what Faber has done as a rookie defenseman is more impressive than what Bedard has done as a rookie forward. The unfortunate reality is that this award was always Bedard’s to lose and he hasn’t done enough to lose it.

I haven’t watched bedard much…but what I have seen is tremendous. Pt per game forward on a bizarrely bad team. Faber has been fantastic but bedards talent comes out in every game he plays. Any other year Faber runs away with it. Bedard deserves it as a tiny child playing in a man’s league. ALSO his teammate banged his mom so he kind of deserves it for how well he handled the media during that shit. He is going to be a thorn in the wild side for years. I sure hope Faber gives him the brodin/mcdavid treatment each time but that might be wishful thinking

The ESPN article I just read had Faber as the front runner for the Calder instead of Bedard. This might actually happen. 😳

We all know Bedard was the odds on favorite he needed to be out with that jaw injury for at least another month for Faber to have a shot. Also yeah fuck Hawk fans they are so god damn annoying and can never shut up about their cups. Just ignore that prior to that period they were a garbage tier franchise in the level of coyotes.

Make them play 1v1 for 20mins and whoever wins the match wins the Calder 😆

I know I’m a homer but this should be Faber’s trophy. He’s a rookie d-man that got thrust into the top pairing due to injury. He’s playing nearly 1/2 the game, averaging .5 ppg, and shutting down top lines.
In the end, we fans will get to enjoy watching these 2 go at it for years to come.

Honestly Bedard is gonna win it and I don’t think anyone will really protest, even Wild fans. He’s a great player and he has a great career ahead. But if Faber wins then every single Blackhawks fan will be livid, and that is the only reason needed to give it to him.

Faber also has way better flow. If that’s not a consideration for winning a trophy, should anyone actually want to win one? 🤔 edit: Faber not Bedard. I think I need a nap.

Brock Faber is on pace to play the most minutes and block the most shots of any rookie skater in the past 30 years.
Connor Bedard is on pace for the worst +/- of any skater in that same time span.
Faber is contributing all over the ice.
Bedard is a one-trick pony right now, but admittedly, it’s a hell of a trick.
Unfortunately, it’s Bedard’s Calder to lose at this point.
