Everyone needs to pump the brakes on the playoffs talk. They still have a lot of work to do. Their remaining schedule ain’t easy and teams above them have easier schedules. I still don’t think they’re going to be in when it all shakes out.
I think Jake is the better player, but I 100% think Bunting is the needed player for the pens. Reminds me of Horney & makes everyone play closer to blue paint.
Bunting has had some extremely douchie moments in the NHL, to the point where he was basically run out of Toronto for his team-destroying antics on the ice. But he seems like a good guy off the ice. Still, the resumes between Guentzel and Bunting are incomparable: seven 20-goal seasons and 58 points in 58 playoff games for Guentzel and two 20-goal seasons and five points in 13 playoff games for Bunting. And they're about the same age. I'm not willing to say it's a good trade for Pittsburgh yet.
Guentzel is no doubt the better player, but that being said, Bunting has been one of the most consistent players since he got here and he’s really impacted winning.

Dan has the best Penguins analysis in media. I wish yinzers would stop listening to the fan or madden. Those are basically soap operas for hillbillies.

Nedeljkovic is better for the Pens than Tristan Jarry. Ned's play is the reason the Pens stopped losing.
I remember somebody lobbied for Dubas to sign Bunting as a free agent before the season. Hey, wait . . . that was me!
