We are edging towards becoming a very soft fan base.

Thick skin is needed to get through the next few years, people.

    It’s very Leafish.

*your boos mean nothing, I’ve seen what makes you cheer*

  2. HabChronicle

it sucks getting swept by the laughs but at least the 1st line looked great per usual.

  3. JimboSlice450

Crucified in a single period once again. Unfortunate.

  4. We played decently imo. Just a huge flop in the second during those four goals

  5. I think if there’s one thing I learned this year, it’s that you can really only have so many “vanilla” defencemen in a lineup. Like Harris, struble, and kovacevic might have “positive on ice impacts” or whatever, but I’m not seeing them do anything out there. Im beyond tired of Harris being bullied in his own end especially and not be able to play physical on his man. I think the whole “this defence is incredibly crowded” narrative is weak, outside of guhle and maybe xhekaj, who the fuck do we want in the lineup in 3 years from this current group???

RHP really decided to screw over our draft position just to end up as the most mid player ive ever seen lol.

Josh Anderson really needs to fuck off, never been so disappointed in a habs player in my life.

Haven’t liked montembeaults game as of late

    Tank rolls on

  6. the top line is just so fucking good, we just need a couple more lines and we are set

  7. brokenwolf

Habs fans I have a question for you. I’ve tuned in to a few of your games this season and you guys play a song thats full on horns and I like it. I’ve heard it more than once. Do any of you know what the name of that song is? Thanks.

  8. janedoe514

Imagine the world without the second periods.

    Perfection

  9. jadenspan

Our depth is so terrible. I have no faith in Monty, he’s been bad for quite a while. Harris is the new mete and struble and kovacevic will never be more than a fringe dman. This team is also just not physical enough

  10. BelialHabs

I think I’m not gonna be that mad if we draft another D this year lmao

  11. Targets for Suzuki in the remaining six games:

Goals: he just tied Gallagher’s 33 from a few seasons ago, next up is Pacioretty’s 35 in 16/17. Stretch goal would be to get to Max’s 37 from 14/15.

Points: with his current 74, passing Koivu’s 75 seems pretty much in the bag. I don’t think Kovalev’s 84 is realistic, but if he was point-per-game for the rest of the season he’ll hit 80.

  12. Eniotnacram95

The draft pick position is getting clearer.

After tonight, we can finish between 4th and 12th.

Since Columbus is 6 points behind and Seattle, New Jersey, Buffalo and Minnesota are 7, 8, 9 and 11 points ahead, we’ll most likely finish between 5th and 8th.

  13. HotHits630

Rags, Flyers, Islanders, Sens, and then a home and home with the Red Wings. I can’t really say which game I’m least excited to watch, but I know I can’t wait until it’s over.

  14. Unlucky-Station1359

We didn’t play terribly to be honest. 2 of our best defensive players were out!

  15. moutardebaseball

Anderson needs to watch games from the stands.

  16. Rosanders3

Refs sucked again. McMann shoulder to the head on Armia the Evans tackle, not to mention McMann holding Armia’s stick where Armia is penalized. Not Montembeault’s best game but nice effort to comeback. Oh and HNIC get rid of Ron MacLean

  17. Longshanks123

Without Xhekaj, and to a lesser extent Guhle, this team really looks too small and soft.

Drafting Slaf and Reinbacher is a great start but we need to keep acquiring big skilled guys who are tough to play against.

  18. Commercial-Row4740

Just a few more games and then I don’t have to watch Pearson or White play ever again.

  19. Can’t wait til 2032 when we have a team that can play. I fucking hate this rebuild.

  20. BarontheBlack

They had an entire segment on Reaves influence on the game. HNIC is a joke. After his fight the score was 2-0 Hab, and fighting Pezz is nothing to get hyped over.

  21. bcgrappler

    Nick, slaf and Cole rolling.

Ottawa and arizona play tomorrow, we could be 5th pick tomorrow night.

  22. J_DigitalDemon

This is slightly unrelated but man, the Sportsnet panel tonight was really getting on my nerves. Not as much talking about the leafs. They are a playoff team, but Bieksa taking up around 10 minutes talking about the most redundant things like how old your captain is and pretending it’s a factor. Give me a break. Shocking to nobody the older teams tend to be the playoff contenders and young teams are rebuilders.

But honestly even all that aside. To immediately postgame go against everything in your 10 minute segment to talk about how fucking Brady Tckachuk, same age as Sukuki. Is the type of captain you need when basically all he did was get a goal and throw a temper tantrum is such bullshit. No mention of Suzuki and a two point night.

All I’m saying is I definitely know which captain I prefer.

  23. mahagar92

man these endless puck dumps.. but hey, we narrowed it down a bit so it wasnt such a a terrible tragedy as it started looking to be. glad Slaf had an A

  24. lacoupe25

My nose is out of joint. Just sayin’. Ça sent fort, mais je ne sens rien et pour l’instant l’arome de la coupe 25 m’échappe et l’odeur est pourrie.

  25. The_Cheezman

Top line share of goals vs other forwards on the team:

    5v5: 38%

    All situations: 52%

    TOI:

    31% 5v5

    32% all situations

And that is without looking at how the top line has much stronger competition when on the ice. A one line team indeed. Hopefully Dach+Roy+Newhook can create a solid second line next year and we have some graduates for our third line because this is not pretty.

  26. Mrbutts123

I’m honestly so fed up with just being godawful. Is St. Louis really the direction that’s good for the team we can’t do anything we’re entering the 4th year of the rebuild. This is so frustrating.
