I'm not jumping to any conclusions about if they did it or not until they release any sort of information and real evidence to the public. Because I have heard conflicting stories, such as the victim was unconscious…but she was able to distinguish 5 people who abused her and the exact things they did to her while unconscious? It probably happened and these 5 are fucked but the evidence and stories released doesn't add up together. Also why wait multiple years before even reporting it.

If you ask the question of "did we have consent" after you had sex, You did not have consent. The fact that they videotaped themselves questioning her consent is proof that she was under duress. Putting Kids at Risk. – Another disgusting part of this is that prior to the charges, Hockey Canada’s “settlements” do not result in any “reporting” against the player’s record. Meaning when they are done playing and then COACH , a police records check would reveal absolute NOTHING.
Putting them on the bench, in the locker rooms and in a position to influence players of any age or sex.
Lets not forget Flower was a 2003 gang rapist and is still being protected by hockey. No more Canadian rapists for a period of 10 yrs and no international competitions for the same time period.
What's not being discussed yet (but certainly will soon) is that Hockey Canada gets an average of 1-2 complaints every year for sexual assault allegations. The big question is how many payouts is Hockey Canada involved with to cover up with looks like a cultural issue. Hockey Canada payout to female in that case was completed by liquidating some assets to pay female. They did not go thru their insurance plan. So how many of these cases are being paid "out of pocket" so to speak.

I really do not care for this story. More important and more serious things going on in the world that should be news over this. You would think this is the biggest most important news story in all of Canada. Of course we all hate rape but it happens all the time and it doesn't make the news.
Here is something to consider: Eight individuals were involved. So who were the other 3? Would you believe trainers? So why are we not hearing about them? Apparently raping a woman is part of a hazing ritual. I would expect this kind of behaviour from Americans and am filled with disbelief Canadian boys are involved! I feel like they have besmirched the whole country in the process. Their parents must be so proud. 😵💫
More responsibility needs put on LPS as the original investigators were corrupted by influencing organizations to make the case go away. Lets not wait 6 years to charge these investigators. It was definitely originally investigated and definitely not purued because of the hockey orginizations behind them. Police got exposed now they reopen the investigation taking the original investigators off the case .Strange!

If this did in fact happen as it is alleged, why did it take 5 years to bring charges against the perpetrators? Sounds like a broken system to me.
