  1. Maybe a hot take, I don’t think Tim is having a down season at all. I think the PP on the team is letting him down with his own personal production.

Fun fact: Tim Stutzle is 16th in the league in even strength points. The only player that is ahead of him in even strength points that has less PP points is Brandon Hagel (must be nice having Kucherov and Point as linemates)

You can argue cause and effect, Tim is on the PP and therefore he is part of the issue, but I think that if this team’s PP was actually serviceable Süperstar would be over a point per game easily.

Even with their defensive woes I think had they gotten league average goaltending and better special teams the season could’ve gone differently.

    GSG!

  2. 0:02 I don’t think we need stars on the team we need team players. I think we have to many stars and hardly any team players. Groulx seems to be the only one. Also, Groulx deserves better than this team.

  3. I’m not worried about Timmy. Has this season been disappointing? 100% but another off season of putting on muscle and maturing and oh boy I’m excited to see the Süperstar next season. Love the show fellas!

  4. He is a very good player but I think superstar is a stretch. I am a Sens fan and I even hate the diving and shit (we can pretend he doesn't all we want but he does) and he just needs to focus on hockey and being a better player. But, as his career goes on he won't get any calls which happens to a lot of players. I still have faith in him, but we need more out of him.

  5. Stützle needs to put on a bit of muscle weight and work with a skating coach to learn about edge work.

  6. Man if we only could’ve foreseen the disaster that was this season, it’s sad that the only thing we have to look forward to is Ross and pillsy attempting to break the western streak 😂

  7. Tim Stutzle is 8pts ahead of the next Senator in scoring AND this is his 4th year in the League at 22. "Yorkie" wanted to trade him straight up for Lefrenière… I love everything about Stutzle and he's on a point per game pace on the 5th worst Team in the entire League!!! His numbers should be way better just with a DECENT PP alone (it's the 6th worst in the 32 Team League!). Tim has only 1 PPG. Who is in charge of the PP? There is a lot to like about this Hockey Club and it diesn't take genius to figure out where the problems are…afterall, they have been the same since Day 1 this year and NO, firing DJ was NOT the answer. Since he left, the Team has been worse. I hope Steve is doing his due diligence and narrowing the field on a great Coach. I/we have no say in the matter but we fans will judge him on how HE performs and so far, the jury is way out. If your lookin' in, Josh, I/we wish you well and can't wait for you to return better, stronger.

  8. I think Timmy is battling a nagging 'something' that is physically affecting him. He definitely is battling a 'mental' thing as well this year but thats natural for a young player. He'll be fine and the highlight reel stuff will be back to a high regularity in the near future. Get a Stutzle jersey it will be worth the $$$ spent!

  9. I’m sorry but with his play, I don’t see a superstar. Superstars need to get better not worse. I get that it can be up and down but he hasn’t been great this season. He seems to fall a lot for no apparent reason, too many no look passes. I hope I am wrong.

  10. Personally, I think Timmy's still on track. This was an especially turbulent year in Ottawa, and I feel like there was a definite learning curve for Timmy especially, switching from DJ to Jacques. I feel like over the last stretch you're starting to see the old Timmy reemerge. I also just think with Timmy there's gonna be a point when he comes back from summer, maybe next season or the season after, where's he's just grown that man strength. When that comes to pass, he's just going to be a force.

  11. I'm not concerned with any 22-year-old player in his 4th year who's a PPG player.
In no particular order, in the off-season, Timmy needs to work on endurance, strength, speed, skating, up/downs.
I have seen better defensive reads and hustle/ sacrifice in his end. I think it was against NYI when he made a diving poke check to ruin a great chance.

  12. I'm kind of thinking that Tim Stuzle needs to go to left wing.Dont have him carry the puck so much. What you guys need is a dominant top line center.Shane Pinto is perfect for 2nd line.I think a bigger dominant center to carry the puck.I would try having Tim as the second draw center in faceoffs. With Norris being bought out a move has to be made in the off-season for a true puck moving center with size.
