    Yeah, yeah, we didn’t need to win, blah blah blah. Fuck that, Slaf hat trick. I’m so goddamn excited to watch this guy’s career develop. His progress this year has absolutely blown me away. What a fantastic pick. Full credit to management for betting on him at 1st overall; I get it.

    I’ve watched every game this season, and games like this are why. It’s been so rewarding to watch this group develop together, and they worked hard all season.

    That was fun!!!!! Games like this (against a team ostensibly in the wildcard race) give me real we-might-be-spooky-next-year vibes.

    Slaf was an absolute monster (2nd youngest hat trick scorer after Richer), first line all around was firing, and even the vets showed that they still have something to contribute. Add Dach and possibly a winger from a trade to our top-6, and a wildcard spot doesn’t seem so unrealistic!

    That was probably the most complete game the Habs have played since Carey’s last game and win. Only thing missing was Monty getting his first shutout

    Got a bit sloppy in the final third when it no longer really mattered, but whatever, you can’t complain too much when you score 9 goals.

    Slafkovsky’s hattrick was wonderful, and I was glad for Dvorak to have a solid performance in his return.

    I can’t believe we scored nine goals and Suzuki only got one point. Major missed opportunity to get close to 80.

    How can you not love Slaf ?

    In his rink interview at the end of the game, he took the time to say how much he was happy for his mates Gally and Dvo. This kid is a beauty. Plus the proud ” Merci Beaucoup ” at the end was just cherry on top.

    What a game.

    Before this game I wished to dedicate this one to Tomas my very good friend and huge fan of habs for years who passed away last week, we woule chat about Slaf and Mesar and future of the team, last msg i sent him was “i hope you are not sleeping!” As we watch the games till 4am in the morning

    What a game this was, what an efford by Slaf and the whole team. The best tribute i could imagine. Rip Tomas and Mesar will make the team i swear!
