I remember in baseball one year, the World Series trophy was presented by, like the representative of Ohio GM dealerships to the team owner in the bowels of the stadium. It was awful.

Edit: this 2018 team does hold a special place in my memory, and it was the sole reason for me to not give up on being a red wings fan, even during the dark ages.

Absolutely amazing. What makes it even better is how long he waited to get it. I wanted fleury to get his 4th cup that year, (3peat) but I was equally satisfied with ovechkin getting his first. Rivalries aside, I just respect the game of hockey no matter what jersey they’re wearing.
