  1. Good. Let them go. Hopefully they take the Cardinals with them. The Dbacks are okay for now. Arizona is a terrible place to live. I’ve been trapped here for 45 years. There’s nothing good here. Good riddance to a bad team.

  2. The Salt Lake City….Winter Olympians! We all know that nickname could never apply to any team Arizona. Don't we?

  3. I really hope they stay in Arizona… Salt Lake only has like 240k people. Seems like a failure waiting to happen. Not to mention he's already said he wants to change the name. In my opinion the Coyotes have one of the best jerseys in the NHL. It would be a shame to see it go. He also mentioned sharing an arena with a basketball team. The ice is frickin awful for the players in every arena that is shared

  4. This "news" is a not subtle reminder to the local authorities that if they want the Coyotes to stick around, they'd better have the winning bid in the auction. Not a coincidence that it came out right after the Scottsdale mayor's temper tantrum. I'm not sure if the leaders in Arizona really care that much, but the message from the NHL is clear. I can't see the NHL eager for a possible legal fight with the Coyotes' ownership over a forced move when they could just wait till June and have everyone on board. Assuming the Coyote ownership doesn't have reason to believe that the bid is already doomed for failure.

  5. If the NHL expands again, then best option is to move the Coyotes to Salt Lake City and give Phoenix a conditional expansion team. I would prefer for the Coyotes to stay in Phoenix and NHL to remain at 32.

  6. Nah this is just sensationalism. If this purchase is not finished quickly by the smith group, the coyotes will simply stay put in Arizona. A relocation too close to next season is unfeasible.

  7. I'm a Winnipeg Jets fan & I want to know if all of the original Jets records, history and retired numbers will be transferred to the SLC faranchise? Just curious seeing that the original Jets are the Coyotes. If this goes through, True North should purchase and retain the rights from the Coyotes if they do relocate.
