Kane is gonna stay without Kane the wings would be in a worse spot
Kane speaks out but he did not say if he was staying in Detroit or going to another team he said he will make up his mind after the season is over or in the summer sometime.
Kane pls go back to the rangers!!!!!
Here is my take on this. Kane will want a 3 yr contract. If Detroit is willing to do that he will probably stay. I doubt he came to Detroit trying to make a run at the Stanley cup. Detroit this year wasn’t even expected to make the playoffs. I’m sure if another team makes a 4 yr offer he might leave. At 35 yrs old he probably is looking more for security than the cup. At the time he signed with the wings he would know that the wings were off 2-3 yrs from being a contender.
as strong as kane came back as i think there will be quite a few teams that will be interested in him i the offseason
The wings are exactly what we thought at the beginning of the season. A team that’s on the verge of starting to get into the playoffs, but it’s going to be 50/50.
Kane and Yzerman both knew exactly what the wings were going to be and are. Kane got his chance to get a lot of ice time and prove he’s still got “it.” From here, I would expect him to go get the biggest contract he can get on a true cup contender. And I’m sure that both Kane and Yzerman were on the exact same page about it since the day he was signed.
Next year the wings won’t be a cup contender yet, either. They are going to drop some veterans and make room for some rookies to join the team. That’s not going to make the team better than it already is; at least not right away. They will be lucky to hit the same number of points as this year if a lot of rookies are getting big minutes.
Depends on the certain mindset he is in. I see a few factors here… One is he likes the region and his parents come from Buffalo to see his games not a far drive and true he could go back to Rangers but I think he would have already done that this season. Two is he grew up somewhat here playing hockey and three I think he wants to stick with original six he’s proven that so far. Four Debrincat still a factor why he came here and die with his recent struggles as per your last video does he Kane leave off on a sour taste with this maybe being the last times in there career’s they ever play again with each other. I would love Kane to sign and retire here for the end of his career honestly!! I also think to factor in who they could bring in? Maybe let some guys go or don’t resign and bring in say Stamkos who Stevie Y knows too well! Just some spice to consider 😂
bro said he doesn't wanna play for a poverty franchise 💀
I think they could offer a 3 year 8 mill deal with some possible incentives to spice it up.
Why would he want to stay here in the first place? The Red Wings are years away from being contenders.
PK is a future HOF great and a consummate pro who is more focused on these last few games than contracts. Based on how his body feels after this season and the offers he gets, I think he'll do what's best for his future and his family – which is as it should be. I love the guy and hope he stays but not if it ruins his physical well being. If he calls it quits I hope the Wings find a good spot for him in the org, he has so much to contribute to the game even if he's not playing.
If I were him I would be gone. I do not see the wings going anywhere. No fire in their bellies.
The KEY to keeping the best players and building toward a Stanley Cup is Steve Y. Hope he inspires confidence that the team is moving forward.
I blame it on a system that allows for zero creativity and a top D-man (Seider) being given a boatload of defensive zone minutes and isn't available to feed guys like Debrincat.
I think he stays. The Wings have the money to pay him, the team is trending up no matter how the rest of this season goes, and he likes playing with D-Cat. It’s not like the Wings would be signing him to an eight year deal…I’m thinking two – three seasons maybe with a team option at the end if he keeps the point totals up.
Don't see him staying a short term contract would be all I would offer just past his prime and the wings are still rebuilding.
